There is a potential for scientists today to lean into experiments that promote a “brave new world,” including creating transgender animals, making orphans by experiments with embryos, and using synthetic wombs to avoid raising children in a familial environment. At the same time, science has the capacity to heal certain diseases and make it possible for babies to live when they might have died otherwise. What we need are scientists who fear God and who are willing to apply Biblical ethics to the world of science.
