It seems like today, anytime someone harvest a deer, the first question they ask is "what did it score". Although we don't have anything against scoring deer, the score shouldn't overshadow the true meaning of a hunter's success. Whether the buck is 18 or 180 inches, it means more to the hunter than one could imagine. To some it's a first deer, to others it is their next step into their hunting dreams. The score of each deer is still an accomplishment and testament to the animal and the hunter, and no one should take that away. Stand by the moments that you have, not the number that could be there.
