You go in the garage only to find out your lawnmower has been stolen. Don’t you hate that feeling? Doesn’t that burn you? You saved for months to purchase your first riding lawnmower only to find out someone has stolen it. People will steal anything these days but there are a few things that make the top of the list. Do you think our kids have it better than we did when we were growing up? And is there really anything wrong with spoiling our kids? Some kids seem to get everything they want and desire. But is that good? Does that give them a false sense of how the world works?

How many times have you woke up to that feeling that you are falling, only to find out it was just a dream? And perhaps you’ve had that same dream before. It’s not hard to believe given it’s the most common dream. But can dreams predict the future? The average person dreams about two hours a night. Wow! And the sad part is most of us can’t recall our dreams, at least not two hours worth. Are you a dreamer?

Ever seen a movie where family members gather to hear the reading of a will, only to go at it because somebody else got that expensive ring, plot of land, or family money? This happens in real life, with ugly disputes over a 50 dollar broken down piece of furniture that belonged to grandma Ethel. Sometimes that underlying current between family members becomes a tidal wave with just a little nudge like a dispute over who gets what when a loved one dies. No more civil conversations or pleasantries when gathered at Thanksgiving. No, it’s a brawl with a capital B.

Sometimes your gut tells you to walk away from that attractive purchase, especially when it’s something that will stretch the budget and is really not needed. But temptation gets the best of us and we purchase that boat, car, expensive electronic equipment or house only to wish later we hadn’t. Everyone has been there. Sometimes it’s hard to save that money for a raining day when we see that shiny toy. Later we realize we didn’t need it, no longer use it, it never worked as intended, or really couldn’t afford it. That’s when we know we have buyers remorse.

Bullying, while around for centuries, is having a bigger and bigger impact on our youth. Especially since cyber bullying is on the rise. Millions of Americans, including adults, fall victim to this every year. But there are many forms of bullying and unfortunately we know people that are bullies. While children some bullies mature into caring and compassionate adults, but many continue the cycle of bullying into their adult years. Are you or a love one being bullied?

Remember that great prank you played on a friend when you were a kid. Perhaps you put a whoopee cushion under someone’s chair or made a call to a friend and pretended to be someone else. Remember the Kodak or Polaroid camera? What about the land line or a party line? Waiting on that phone call from a rotary phone at the house that may or may come. Or the answer machine that you checked immediately when you got back to the house. Or those fall evenings when you had to manually roll down the windows in the car to get that cool breeze.
