Drew and Rob are back with another packed episode of *2 Giants Goofballs: New York Giants News & Updates*, covering the latest headlines surrounding the New York Giants. The coaching carousel has settled, and Mike Kafka is officially returning as the Giants’ offensive coordinator after Kellen Moore was hired by the Saints. Despite some speculation that Kafka could land the job in New Orleans, he remains in New York, ensuring continuity on Brian Daboll’s staff. What does this mean for the Giants' offensive approach in 2025, and how does it impact their ongoing search for a quarterback?  

Speaking of quarterbacks, the Giants are expected to pair a rookie signal-caller with a veteran this offseason. Sports Illustrated’s Connor Orr suggests that Big Blue could target Bengals backup Jake Browning as a bridge QB, allowing a potential rookie—like Cam Ward—to develop. Browning impressed in Joe Burrow’s absence last season, winning four of his seven starts and completing over 70% of his passes. The Giants hold the third overall pick in the draft, but could they also make a move for a seasoned quarterback to steady the ship?  

While the Giants are focused on their rebuild, they face some brutal odds heading into next season. BetMGM currently lists them at 200-1 to win the Super Bowl—the worst odds in the NFL. Even teams like the Raiders, Browns, and Saints, who are also dealing with major uncertainties, have better chances according to the sportsbooks. Can the Giants use this as motivation to prove the doubters wrong?  

Off the field, Giants fans got a reminder of their NFC East rivals’ success when Jermaine Eluemunor found himself unintentionally caught up in the Eagles’ Super Bowl parade at Disney. The veteran lineman took to social media, joking that he had to endure the Eagles' chant while trying to enjoy his last day at the park with his daughter. Meanwhile, Michael Strahan stirred up controversy among Giants fans when he waved an Eagles flag and said, "Fly Eagles Fly" during the Super Bowl pregame show. Amani Toomer didn’t hold back, calling it a "shot across the bow" and insisting that former Giants players have every right to demand better from the franchise. Carl Banks backed him up, making it clear that the Giants' alumni are frustrated with the state of the team.  

Looking ahead to the draft, Drew and Rob break down Ohio State quarterback Will Howard, who is rising up draft boards after leading the Buckeyes to a national championship. Howard’s journey from Kansas State backup to championship-winning QB has been remarkable, and his skill set could fit well in Brian Daboll’s system. He’s got the arm strength and athleticism but still needs refinement in his mechanics and post-snap reads. Could the Giants target him in the middle rounds if they miss out on one of the top-tier quarterback prospects?
