Today, Candace explores the enigmatic and haunting unsolved case surrounding the Dupont de Ligonnès family. In April of 2011, in the picturesque city of Nances, France, the aristocratic Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès, his wife Agnès, and their four children disappeared suddenly and without a trace.
Due to circulating rumors, the police initially assumed a family vacation. Still, the investigation takes a dark turn when the bodies of Agnès, the children, and the family's two dogs are discovered buried under the terrace of their house. Shockingly, Xavier is nowhere to be found, and an international arrest warrant is issued.
Despite extensive manhunts and numerous reported sightings in various countries, Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès remains at large. His whereabouts and motives are still unknown, making this case one of the most puzzling and talked-about criminal mysteries in French history.
