Psalms 135 and 136 call us to worship the Creator. Praise Him and thank Him for Who He is and what He has done. They give suggestions for what to praise and thank Him for; we can and should also consider, from our own experience, what we personally can praise and thank Him for.
These songs of Ascents (120-134) reflect the Israelite's journey to Jerusalem, and form a microcosm of life. Praising the Creator and asking for His help and protection are themes found in this special group of Psalms.
