In this program we play the audio from, and discuss a couple of videos Dr. Scripture recorded for the 2020 "Round Up" youth camp at Camp LiLoLi. What was Eve thinking when she was tempted, and are humans a kind, are the topics.
Dr. Scripture was unable to speak at the "2020 Round Up" youth camp at Camp LiLoLi in western New York this summer. Instead the camp staff produced some short devotional videos for the campers. Dr. Scripture produced 4 video. In this program he discusses the topic of one of them, "Why was the ark so BIG?"
This 3rd program dealing specifically with Psalm 104 considers the abundance of water the Creator placed on the earth. It also considers the principle that everything in the heavens and earth are the Lord's and He takes pleasure in them.
We continue considering this amazing meditation on the Creator's greatness displayed through His creative work. Genesis 1 describes the manufacturing process; Psalm 104 blesses the Manufacturer!
Psalm 104 is one of the "great" passages (prayer/meditation) on the Creator. David is praising the Creator for His many marvelous works in creation. It appears he is "thinking through" Genesis 1 and then reflecting back on the Lord.
Dr. Scripture proposes that Psalm 103 and 104 were originally a single composition of David that was then subsequently divided into the two separate Psalms we have today. Together they are a lengthy mediation upon the Creator and His works.
This prayer of an "afflicted" person appeals to the Lord, the one founded the earth to deliver him.
Dr. Scripture addresses these questions from listeners: were dogs and wolves on the ark; could Cain and Abel have been twins; who first made the proposal that the earth was millions/billions of years old?
Scott, had the opportunity to interview Ken Ham for a different radio program, and shared part of it with Scripture On Creation. Mr. Ham discusses issues related to the book he co-authored with Dr. Charles Ware, "One Race, One Blood."
These 3 well known Psalms with a creation theme are actually not prayers, i.e. they are not addressed to the Creator. However, following the exhortation of Psalm 95:2, "Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms," we consider the messages of these Psalms.
