We're now 10 months into this pandemic and we know a lot about this virus right we should know a ton about this virus but we still don't why is it that 10 months into this thing we still don't know much about this we don't know how long it lasts we don't know how it spreads we don't know if Max surf master fictive with social distance effective about we don't know anything but we do know a few things there are some statistics out there which are solid. And I saw this the other day the death rate from coronavirus is minuscule it is 99.6 survivability rate even in the oldest. Even the oldest age group with comorbidities that's right folks 99.699.6 it is less bad than the flu it is less bad than getting hit by a car the chance of you getting cold and dying are less than getting hit by a car 116 times less, in fact, Hey I already noted that in a previous show which was banned by Google and banned by you too but you don't they don't like the facts they don't like the truth because that's what we talk about here we talk about the truth. So if we now look back at 10 months of data and we look at the actual death rate from this virus and we look at it and realize it is minuscule 99.6 or lower or higher survivability rate from this thing 99.6 or higher, in fact, it was given to the lower age groups the survivability rate is actually 99.999.8 it is almost 100 percent okay so the fact of the matter is that this thing is no more deadly than the flu it's no more deadly than things that we deal with every single day and there is no reason right now when we look back at it with clear eyes and the data that we have right now there we can't reopen everything everywhere now any reason to do that no reason to go through some kind of a step thing no reason to go through we got to go through the orange zone in the proposal in the green zone is is is is is it like in like they're doing here in California there's no reason to do that we should open up completely right now. Right now because if you look at the death rates if you look at the facts if you look at the statistics you will see that this thing is not that bad after all we know this. After looking at the data and the facts.

Okay, Sir, the truth, so I have a solution. That's right, folks, I have an answer. You do think you come here for solutions but you can now only have a solution for all of this election rancor it's happening it happens every 4 years it happens every 2 years when we have Congress isn't cetera reelected every time we have election there's always all of this rancor between the 2 sites right ensure there's 3 force other sites but they seldom seem to matter because there's just so these huge voting blocks on either side so I have an idea let's pick up let's take this idea from sports right let's give each side 8 years and then flip to the other side so forget about elections let's not have elections at all let's let the Republicans have the next 4 years and then at the end of those 4 years let's let the Democrats have another 8 years so we go 8 years one way here's the other way so each team has the puck for 8 years and then at the end of those 8 years he just had the puck off to the other team don't you think that would be a much easier way to get rid of all the selection rancor get rid of all this argument everything would be happy happy joy joy because you would have people arguing each other all the time. Facebook and social feeds being full of all of this the visit of rancor because you know well you know when my guys get in they'll do this and will my guys get in they'll do that I mean come on people, could you understand this is the whole point all of this discussion all of this rancor all of this argument is as long as it doesn't turn violent this is good for the American system this is the whole idea we should have these arguments we should be having these discussions. We should have them in a civilized way. That's where we should be going all of these conversations, all of this anger, all of these riots, all of this. All of this violence we should be doing this because all we're talking about is the speech. We're talking about getting things done and arguing with each other we have different arguments. We have different viewpoints and different perspectives for extra points, and what we should be doing with all these things is having a civilized discussion and debate with facts on either side. To make a decision, see the founders were pretty smart. We have to go back and say listen; these guys were pretty smart. They were able to create a document. They were able to generate a country where the people truly have power, and they put in checks and balances to make sure that the government didn't have too much. They designed it so that the federal government would have very little power, the states would have some influence, but the people had most of the power. And unless we're changing all of that, then we should be fine. All I'm saying is that no matter which side you're on, let's tone down the rhetoric. Let's be more civilized. Let's talk to each other as fellow human beings no matter what you look like, no matter your political affiliation. Let's be civil.

In my last show, I talked about how he read a story about a man in Florida who got fired because he was too old, too white to American, and wore khakis too often. So I wrote about this story, and I decided on my blog, which supports the show. I thought, okay, let me see if I can find a picture of a white American male so I can put on this blog post. I go to a bunch of different sites to go to pexels ago to pixabay. I go to there's another site that a big deal escapes me at the moment. Still, I go there to find royalty-free images because I'm a cheapskate, so I want to use royalty-free images that can be used all over the web. I don't feel the pain like the sixties, okay, so I went in there, and I started typing white American males.  I thought, okay; maybe I could find a picture of a white American male. I only got black males to wait for a second, so I went to the next site. I take white American male I got black males again, a third site I typed in white American male I got a black male black females but no white males, so I thought let me try this let me try white male. Still, nothing all I could get were black males in black females, and maybe some Indians mixed in there, but it was black or brown people, not one white person I even specified white male. Now when I put in a white female, I got plenty of white females. Still, I couldn't even get one white male in the search. I even went down to the bottom of that search. Eventually, I had to go to Flickr or some other site or pick a completely different talk about I think it puts an American flag. But I could not find a photo of a white male on a royalty-free image site. What does that tell you about how the internet or how these sites feel about white males when they're being eliminated.

I recently read the story, which just blew me away and blew me away that I think a gentleman was in Florida. They fired him. His company even fired him for being too American, too old, too white, and wearing khakis to work. And I thought to myself what. I guess this guy really does have a case against his employers, and apparently, it's some fashion company, and they're all European. They have this persona that they're trying to put together, too old, too white, or too many khakis. He was acting like an American, which is funny because the company office he was based in was in Florida, so I mean, if you can't work more when your Florida, then what can you do. So he's suing them. But if you think about it, the reality is that this kind of stuff happens all the time it happens all the time. It's just not the reason given.

I live in California's Silicon Valley, and there's a proposition on the books for the election which in a few weeks proposition 16 and proposition 16 is I kid you not all about bringing discrimination back into the process of awarding contracts from the state, so back in 1995 back in 1995 there before 1995 we had there was affirmative action and affirmative action was there to force individuals or forced discrimination on and quotas on who you're allowed to give contracts to in 1995 somebody said well this is a bad thing we don't want to discriminate against anybody we want to take the best proposal. We want to select the best proposal. I don't care if you're white, black hues Asian male-female transgender whatever who cares what you are who you are if you perform the best. Then you will get the contract, so in 1995 California came out with a long seeing that no one can discriminate against anyone when it comes to contracts not because of any of these. Worthless written reasons, right. Reasons that have nothing to do with whether or not you can effectively perform the work right we were looking at can you effectively complete the work at the right price; then, we will hire you that was the sole criteria for giving a contract 10/20/20. Can I get the? The photo book and what we are doing weird striking it down we're voting on proposition 16 to eliminate the anti-discrimination clause, so I'm like wait a minute.

We're removing anti-discrimination. Hence, what you're saying to me now is that we are bringing discrimination back. In it's all couched in the whole, you know we want to make sure we're fair we need to give more contracts to more African Americans by law, but the reality of the situation is once that this once that's in its in discrimination will return in all shapes and forms. So we eliminated discrimination 20 plus years ago. Now we're bringing it back, what the hell is wrong with us? I mean, if we completely forgot about Martin Luther King, have we completely forgot about I know we want to be judged by the color of your skin but by the content of your character, so we don't give a damn about people's character. We don't give a damn if they can provide if we don't give a damn if they can do the work all we care about is it the right skin color into the race gender it's on the straight sacks I mean, what does that have to do with anything can the do the job or not this is all we should care about.

Folks, we have lost our way. If this kind of stuff is coming back and you see it in your state or in your country or whatever you see it, it's time to fight back against it. No one should be discriminating on these minute elements of a human being. They're the least important things. Your outward appearance is the least important thing about you. It's the least important thing about you. Your outward appearance can't tell me if you can do the job or not. You're out for an impression doesn't know me. If you're going to be a good worker, your outward appearance won't tell me if you will come in on time and do the job you need to none of these things matter; your outward appearance does not matter. We should never discriminate on the outside appearance, but here we are in 2020. We're looking to bring discrimination back. Whatever happened to us, we need to go back to being a society where everyone gets equal opportunity no matter how they look outside. If they can do the job hire them if they can't do the job, don't hire them but does it matter what they look like? No.

Hot off the presses folks hot off the presses it is October 11 and today the World Health Organization the who no friend of the United States government no friend of president trump has just come out and said lockdowns do not help the coronavirus that's right folks lockdowns do not help the program of iris. Based on a preponderance of evidence even the World Health Organization a group. Of scientists. Have decreased debt have declared that lockdowns do not work so now that we have so it would be great to know this earlier but we know it now right we know it now so we know now on 10/11/2020. Hello, accounts do not work lockdowns do not help lockdowns make any difference that is what the scientists have said so sure it took from me or R. A. January to October it took 10 months to figure this out but as of today we have been told by the expert's scientists have been driving this thing all along that lockdowns do not work now I ask you how many people do you think or how many governments how many states how many. Of those out there who are currently. Holding people holding their citizens down in under lockdown is going to live there now lockouts now that the World Health Organization of all organizations has said that lockdowns are not required anymore how many will be lifting their lockdowns, as far as I know, I think it's only a few states that have left their markdowns what about California what about New York what about all these countries what about Canada recently the 15-day quarantine all of these places should now lift their lockdowns because the official word is that lockdowns do not matter but will they I doubt it because once the state has power then it's not going to give it up that easily.

Now I was at the mall the other day and I noticed because of the slow-motion to reopen here I noticed that what they had done is that they've taken all of their CD all of their seating and covered it up they covered up all of their seats it doesn't matter where there was insider it was at all see indoor seating has been covered up they put plastic over the potato over it you know they didn't even know it. Block it off in such a way that could be a C. here in another seat 6 feet away from that seat they just stop all of their seating everywhere in the entire mall and I thought to myself what is this is coronavirus transmitted if yes sit down if you put your ass down on a piece on it on a piece of plastic or vinyl or whatever is coronavirus transmitted through your ass cheeks I mean I don't understand that I don't understand why you can't frickin sit down people were like wandering in the mall walking through the mall getting there Boba teas and and and and pulling the mask down and drinking and then going outside to drink but there was absolutely no place to sit in sign small so what is it is suddenly have recently figured out the coronavirus transmits through your pants I don't understand.

Search for truth one of the interesting things about Buddhism is that with Buddhism. The main thing that sort of leads you to happiness is the understanding that the world is full of suffering which is called to go Dukkha. And took a. Is suffering in the reason why we're suffering is because of envy we're suffering because we cover it. Thanks, we are envious of other people of other things we're envious we have this is underlying envy in our systems and I think I talked about this before in a previous show us talk about how the riots in the looters and the protesters are really just envious 13 they don't want to they want to write for they will just tear down the rich they're envious of where the rich are so they want to tear them down. So envy as a super-powerful emotion for humans super super super powerful everybody hates and the in fact we're not the only one to feel and be I mean monkeys feeling B. 2 then the minute the dent experiments so we are full of envy and the reason why we're unhappy and suffering from the worlds. And yes we're envious of what other people have and we suffer because we don't have what they want and if you think about it this is totally suffering from our own creation we have created the suffering because we feel envy for these external things or people or whatever we feel envy that we don't have these things right. Now since we feel envy we don't have these things we suffer now if there was some way that we could basically absolve ourselves of all this if we could somehow step back and say you know what I am not going to feel envious about what other people have if you stop feeling envious. About whether people have whether you're Christian you don't covet or your or your blood is seen to be envious or whatever any of these any and if the kind of Marxism all of this stuff is the same thing if you eliminate envy from your life if you can suppress it or eliminated bell suppresses spoken style or eliminated in some way then you will stop suffering the dukkha out will disappear and you will be enlightened. Envy is one of the key things and of course, Buddhism has a lot more to it but underneath it, all is the concept of dukkha suffering the world is full of suffering and you know the world is full of suffering only if it is look around and you can see the world is full of suffering but the reason why the world is full of suffering is that we have envy and if you could eliminate the envy in some way. Then you will reduce the amount of suffering in fact you may even be able to eliminate the amount of suffering if you could somehow suppressor envy so that's why I'm trying to see who is that eliminate your envy and maybe you can even eliminate your suffering.

One of the good things about what's happened with COVID it is that we can all now work from home but as a corollary to that as a corollary that we can all now work from pretty much anywhere right pretty much anywhere so do you really need to stay I mean I'm in the San Francisco Bay Area. Right the rents in San Francisco are ridiculous in San Francisco you can rent a tiny little shoebox studio apartment for $4000 a month that's right folks $4000 a month surrounded by bombs pooping in the streets needles in fact there's poo petroleum you know they pay $150000 a year to power blast the streets clean. But you need to live there if you work for Twitter or Facebook or any of these companies that are here it doesn't even necessarily need to be one of those companies could be any company all of these companies is many many many many many many jobs can be done remotely you don't need to be here there's no need to be here especially with what's happening with these democratic cities a lot of the things they're doing were drawing people towards the cities are you know it's not here anymore in movie theaters shut down bars shut down restaurants you shut down all the things you move to a city for to have fun are shut down member we said for the banning fun is being banned. So since all this stuff is being banned in cities or not the driver of the used to be when we don't necessarily even need to live here anymore we can live anywhere we want right we can move to someplace in the middle of nowhere and as long as we have a damn good internet connection we can do our jobs so that's one of the beautiful things. About this is one of the upsides of what's happened is that it's finally forced companies to understand the telecommuting works and not only does it work it's going to freeze all of us people up to be able to work from anywhere we want to instead of living where we have to we can live where we want to. Even if you wanna live under me right look at the family people as long as there somewhere where they can get their internet connection going with I mean I have a high-speed interconnection on my phone so I could probably jump in an RV in living anywhere in the country to. The only thing is concern yourself with is times all right what time zone are you in if you wanted to go you can go move to Thailand you can go move to India you can go move to Europe you can go move to any of these other countries and continued to work for whoever you're working, for now, the difference is, of course, is times on trade if you lived in Thailand or India or Europe you have to deal with if you were dealing with American companies you have to deal with that kind of time zone differences and you might have to get up in the middle of the night for meetings and stuff like that but if you want even if you want to stay somewhere in the continental United States you can live mountain top somewhere in California there are all sorts of places you can live you don't need to live in these highly congested cities any longer just so you can be close to your employer. I think that is an awesome thing and hopefully what that's going to do it hasn't done it yet because I still see buildings going up around here where you have these teeny tiny little places right beside the BART station which are going for $100000 because they're right beside the BART station well if you don't need to take back to the office anymore then why do you need to buy an $800000 postage-stamp-sized condo right near the BART station you don't you can spend your 800000 or even 300000 and buy a ranch property out in Yolo County or Davis or wherever you don't even need to be near any other cities you can buy a little piece of land you can buy a winery you can do all sorts of things with this money to buy this tiny postage-stamp-sized condo near the bar station could be used for so many other things so many much better things that are worth so much more money.
