  • Revelation 14:1-5, "144,000 Who Follow the Lamb Wherever He Goes," Voddie Baucham
Click on time markers for this video: 00:00 - Free digital newsletter, 01:29 - Larry Wessels meets Voddie Baucham in Austin, Texas, 02:07: Voddie's sermon on Revelation 14:1-5 begins, "Then I looked, and behold, the Lamb was standing on Mount Zion, and with Him 144,000, having His name and the name of His Father written on their foreheads. 2 And I heard a voice from heaven, like the sound of many waters and like the sound of loud thunder, and the voice which I heard was like the sound of harpists playing on their harps. 3 And they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders. And no one could learn that song except the 144,000 who had been purchased from the earth. 4 These are the ones who are not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These have been purchased from among men as first fruits to God and to the Lamb. 5 And no lie was found in their mouth; they are blameless." 10:19 - Symbolic of Redemption, Psalm 2, "Why do the nations rage And the peoples meditate on a vain thing? 2 The kings of the earth take their stand And the rulers take counsel together Against Yahweh and against His Anointed, saying, 3 "Let us tear their fetters apart And cast away their cords from us!" 4 He who sits in the heavens laughs, The Lord mocks them. 5 Then He speaks to them in His anger And terrifies them in His fury, saying, 6 "But as for Me, I have installed My King Upon Zion, My holy mountain." 7 "I will surely tell of the decree of Yahweh: He said to Me, 'You are My Son, Today I have begotten You. 8 Ask of Me, and I will surely give the [f]nations as Your inheritance,

  • How Do You Beat Death? By Knowing Jesus Christ is Worthy of Worship!
The actual sermon "How Do You Beat Death? By Knowing Jesus Christ is Worthy of Worship! Jesus is God in the Trinity!" by Voddie Baucham begins at the 13:00 time mark of this video. "This series of sermons by Voddie Baucham on the Book of Revelation is the best I have ever heard by anyone since I became a Christian on May 16, 1981 & I have heard a lot of preachers on this topic since then!" - Larry Wessels, ,director of Christian Answers (CANSWERSTV at https://www.youtube.com/user/CAnswersTV , websites: http://www.BIBLEQUERY.ORG, http://www.HISTORYCART.COM & http://www.MUSLIMHOPE COM ). Dr. Voddie T. Baucham, Jr. - Former pastor, author, professor, conference speaker, and church planter. He currently serves as Dean of Theology at African Christian University in Lusaka, Zambia (see his website at https://voddiebaucham.org/ ). Voddie makes the Bible clear and demonstrates the relevance of God's word to everyday life. However, he does so without compromising the centrality of Christ and the gospel. Those who hear him preach find themselves both challenged and encouraged. It is impossible to understand Voddie's approach to the Bible without first understanding the path he has walked. Raised in a non-Christian, single-parent home, Voddie did not hear the gospel until he was in college. His journey to faith was a very unusual and intellectual one. Consequently, he understands what it means to be a sceptic, and knows what it's like to try to figure out the Christian life without relying on the traditions of men. As a result, he speaks to 'outsiders' in ways few Bible teachers can. Dr. Baucham holds degrees from Houston Baptist University (BA in Christianity/BA in Sociology),

  • Was Charlie Kirk Ashamed of the Gospel?
Since Charlie Kirk's assassination, more people are naming the name of Jesus in public. And many Christians think that if they are willing to mention the name of Jesus Christ in public that they are not ashamed of Him or His gospel. But is that really what scripture teaches? In Romans 1, Paul says that he is not ashamed of the gospel, and then he says two things1) For it is the power of God to salvation2) In it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "The Just shall live by faith"It is easy to miss what this means for us. Paul is saying that words are not enough, that we must confront and deal with the sin in us and around us. It is not enough to say his name, we must walk in righteousness. In this episode, we look at what is required to confront unrighteousness both when we are in public in private. We also look back at times when John MacArthur and Voddie Baucham were given the opportunity to confront evil and they both set a good example. But because most of us will never be on national television, we also talk about what this looks like in our everyday life. We also try to look at some situations where Charlie Kirk didn't stand up for the gospel in the way that he probably should have. The point isn't to beat him up, it's to make sure we don't make him the pinnacle. Christ is the example we are to follow. Paul and the apostles. The words of God and how they challenge and direct us to stand for righteousness. That is what we are to look to. • Be Careful How You Talk About Christ's Bride - Voddie Baucham
The sermon delivers a powerful theological warning about the dangers of speaking flippantly or critically about the church, emphasizing that such language is not only inaccurate but deeply disrespectful to Christ, who is the head, lover, and unifying life of His bride. Drawing from Ephesians 5 and Revelation 19, it underscores that the church is not merely an institution but a sacred, living body united to Christ through His sacrificial love, ongoing sanctification, and eternal covenant. The preacher challenges listeners to recognize that every critique of the church must be filtered through the reality of Christ's authority, His perfect love, and His ongoing work of purification, which transforms the church into a spotless, holy bride. He also distinguishes between the true church—defined by faith, Scripture, and union with Christ—and counterfeit gatherings that cater to worldly desires, urging believers to reject cultural trends that dilute the gospel. Ultimately, the message calls for personal repentance and faith, inviting each person to examine whether they are truly united to Christ, not just affiliated with a church, so that their speech about the church reflects reverence, humility, and love.
