  • Faithful to the End: Lessons from Voddie Baucham and Other Godly Christians
In this special episode of Equipping You in Grace, Dave Jenkins reflects on the life and legacy of Voddie Baucham, who went to be with the Lord on September 26, 2025. Sproul, and others, Dave shares how these men modeled conviction, courage, and love for Christ. He also speaks personally about grief, loss, and the hope we have in Christ, urging every Christian to remain faithful where God has placed them. • Remembering Voddie: A Short Road Trip Audio DL
I heard of the home-going of our dear brother Voddie Baucham right after I finished setting up the fifth wheel here in Oklahoma on my fast trip home from the East Coast. This is another audio-only edition, only thirty minutes in length, but I felt it was appropriate to comment on the brother's life and ministry and how we should think about the loss of men like Johnny Mac, Charlie Kirk, and now Voddie Baucham.

  • #10: Conditional Forgiveness
Scripture teaches that God forgives forgetfully—not that He literally erases memory, but that He no longer holds sins against us. Metaphors describe this: sins placed behind His back (Isa. 38:17), blotted out (Isa. 43:25), cast into the sea (Mic. 7:19), and removed as far as east is from west (Ps. 103:12). This shapes how we forgive. Unlike the common phrase, "I'll forgive but not forget," biblical forgiveness chooses not to dwell on, repeat, or weaponize past sins. Voddie Baucham clarified that forgiving is active: a decision not to bring up the offense to the person, others, or oneself. It requires self-control, prayer, and meditation on Christ's forgiveness. God's forgiveness is also conditional. The Gospel is offered to all, yet forgiveness is granted only to those who repent and believe (Acts 2:38; 1 Jn. 1:9). Forgiveness without repentance would cheapen grace and ignore justice. Jesus Himself taught: "If he repents, forgive him" (Luke 17:3-4). Thus, believers too must forgive those who repent. We must guard against using conditional forgiveness as an excuse for bitterness. The weight of Scripture falls on being ready to forgive—generously, fully, and often—just as Christ always forgives repentant sinners. Forgiveness is a transaction: one repents, the other forgives. Without repentance, we offer forgiveness but wait for it to be received. In sum, we are called to forgive: generously, fully, justly, often, forgetfully, and conditionally. God's lavish forgiveness equips us to forgive others in Christ.

  • The Defeat Of Five Kings - Voddie Baucham
The sermon explores the contrasting perspectives of two pilgrims, Lot and Abram, to illustrate the importance of belonging to a Kingdom beyond the earthly realm. It contrasts a one-kingdom perspective, characterized by dependence on governments and leaders, with a two-kingdom perspective rooted in faith and allegiance to God, emphasizing that true security and deliverance come not from worldly power but from trusting in the King of kings. Drawing from Genesis 14, the message highlights the significance of independence, the value of allies, and the ultimate promise of God's redemptive plan, culminating in the assurance that even amidst earthly turmoil, Believers are part of a greater Kingdom whose fullness is yet to come.

  • 2 Corinthians (2)
Dr. Voddie Baucham explains the book of 2 Corinthians, emphasizing its autobiographical and raw nature, as well as its focus on interpersonal relationships and ministry validation. He discusses the Corinthian church's potential swaying by super apostles and Paul's defense of his ministry. The book highlights the importance of humility and dependence on God's strength, as seen in Paul's thorn in the flesh. Baucham also touches on the Holy Kiss, personal property, and community of goods, emphasizing that early Christian communities were not communist but rather shared resources among members. He prays for the congregation to have a correct view of giving, avoiding error, and prioritizing the true apostolic gospel.
