Authorities in Montgomery County have made a second arrest in the deadly home invasion in Lower Merion Township earlier this month.

The Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office announced the arrests of two Philadelphia correctional officers on Tuesday accused of smuggling drugs and other contraband to inmates at Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility in Holmesburg.

In a move to make Philadelphia city government’s operations more transparent, Mayor Cherelle Parker unveiled a new web page that displays a number of the city’s operations and measures how well they are functioning.

There was a little something extra in the stocking for Philadelphia schoolchildren on Tuesday. Each of the city’s district and charter school students received a gift, courtesy of the “Philly Specials” — better known as Eagles Lane Johnson and Jordan Mailata, as well as retired Eagle Jason Kelce.
