On this episode of the Secondary Lead sans Travis, it's just Weber and Beau making a show. Without Travis writing the notes, we scramble to put a few topics to discuss like a Thursday Night Game that should have been a blow out, but instead came down to the last play. We talk Heisman Trophy results, and surprise surprise, Beau was right! Then we go on a FCS playoff discussion that was not planned, so it might not be the most smooth conversation, but we had to take advantage of Travis not being here to shut it down. Then we wrap up with the Monday Night Football Double picks, and some one needs to tell Travis and Weber to stop copying Beau. Not gonna lie, this episode we cut right to the chase and talked a whole lot of football. The boys were buzzing as we talked NFL, College Football Playoffs, and Heisman Finalist. On a snowy Sunday (well snowy for two of the three), the fellas discuss Thursday Night Football and ponder at why Taysom Hill is still starting for the Saints. Then we recap a BUSY weekend of College Football. It was Championship Weekend and the final rankings for the College Football Playoffs are about to come out, so the boys give their predictions. The Coaching Carousel come back to play with more moves and extensions in the college coaching world. Geez I went into the wrong profession. Next comes a real downer of a topic, as the MLB went into a lockout, and we all cry about it for a few minutes. We wrap up with Monday Night Football and Weber's Patriots are playing! So that means Weber picked against the Patriots so if they lose he was right, and if they win he's happy too! What a dick move on his part right? What an episode we have for you today. It was a busy ass news week and the fellas dive in with the Week 12 5 Dubs. Travis had a terrible week, Weber maintained his lead, and Beau was kinda there. After that, we jump into a coaching carousel with two coaches leaving big programs, to go to other big programs. It was during this that Beau's computer decided to take a dump and after some technical issues resolved (I have no idea what I did) Beau joins back up after Travis and Weber discussed the college rankings. In what I can only assume was a riveting conversation, we get to the main event. The MLB, before a potential lockout, had a fuck ton of signings. The guys give their hot and luke-warm takes about what signings were good and who got overpaid. Then we wrap up with Week 13 of the 5 Dubs. LUCKY 13 BABY. On today's episode, the full crew rolls back in after a great holiday weekend. We kick off with the recap of the worst game of the three Thanksgiving games. Game winning field goals and overtime? Also, UTSA lost, so thankfully Weber's bit with that is done! Then we move onto the baseball news, and oh boy was this a great day for the MLB! The Mets making moves and the Padres are wheeling and dealing. Then the fellas discuss ALL of the players on the 2022 MLB Hall of Fame Ballot. Will the guys keep their bias in check, or will they vote with their heart because they don't actually have say in this. Finally we wrap up with an absolute GARBAGE Monday Night Football game. #DumpsterFire Also, Travis left his robot-filter on in parts of the show. On this Sunday episode of the Secondary Lead, the boys make quick work of another boring Thursday (emphasis on Thursday) night game where Weber couldn't lose because his Patriots won even though he picked the Falcons. Then the fellas go into College Football with another week of Truth or Overreaction. We're going into the last week before Conference Championship week already, and Weber thinks 22 ranked UTSA has a chance. After those shenanigan's, we move over to some baseball award winners and discuss the Cy Young and MVP winners, and Travis' boy Bryce Harper hit a lot of doubles. Don't believe me? We're back on the Secondary Lead with full crew back with Beau back while on the Covid quarantine. We kick things off with another dismal performance from the boys for Week 10 of the 5 Dubs. Then we go over some NFL news including Broadway Joe (Flacco) is starting! How exciting! After an interesting conversation about that, we move on to the NCAA college football rankings. And that was kinda lame too. But it will spicy in the rankings next week, just you wait. The real fun goes starts the MLB news. A few big name pitchers signed some deals, including two pitchers that sparked quite the controversy. I haven't heard Beau that fired up about something since Weber brought up Grandpa Charlie from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Once we simmered Beau down, we got to Week 11 of the 5 Dubs. This time, Beau let the guys pick first so they wouldn't copy his terrible picks. He doesn't know what he's talking about, but Travis and Weber seem to just follow on the dawgs and the over too much sometimes. Then Weber botches up the outro and makes Travis redo it. Holy crap do we have an episode for you, our loyal listeners. Beau comes back from a weekend away to just chaos between Travis and Weber. We kick off with a 5 Dubs recap of Week 9 and holy balls is it #FadeWebz Season. Travis gains some ground and Beau, well, let's just say the strategy of taking the unders didn't work that great. Then we go onto some NCAA football rankings, and surprisingly the fellas agreed. Buy a lottery ticket, that won't happen again for a while. Next comes the MLB postseason awards, where we find out that Travis will only describe Lance Lynn as fat, and you'll just have to listen to see where that conversation goes. After some discussion on why Travis is really our friend, we go through both the AL and NL ROY, MVP, and Cy Young awards. Finally, we finish off with the Week 10, 5 Dubs where Beau finds out what Tua Tagovailoa's real name is. Boy is that a doozy.
