Donald Trump takes rightful pride in his record of “Promises made, promises kept.” He delivered on another important pledge with the restoration to the U.S. Air Force of one its most formidable leaders, my colleague Matthew Lohmeier. 

Lieutenant Colonel Lohmeier’s installation last week as that service’s Under Secretary not only rights a terrible wrong – namely, Team Biden’s termination of his career as an exceptional aviator and rising officer in the new Space Force for publishing a damning indictment of the Marxists’ cultural warfare-enabled takedown of the U.S. military. 

It also puts Matt in a key management position to execute President Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s orders to strip out such so-called “Wokeism,” root and branch. 

Unsurprisingly, keeping that promise is proving hard to do given how deep the Left’s insidious rot has penetrated and subverted our armed forces.

Nearly one hundred years ago, the French government proposed a treaty to ban war. The resulting Kellogg-Briand Pact proved to be an exercise in futility, notably with the outbreak of World War II, history’s worst conflict. 

Next week, the French will sponsor another act of delusional diplomacy at a UN conference in New York to promote a similar non-starter – a State of Palestine.

For one thing, no such state exists. It has no territory. It has no government. And, most importantly, if there were such a state, it would be a terrorist one committed to acquiring the territory of a country that actually does exist: Israel. As the Palestinians’ genocidal mantra puts it, “From the river to the sea.”

The Trump administration is wisely refusing to be party to such an inevitably counterproductive enterprise.

Yesterday, President Trump signed a slew of executive orders intended to assure U.S. leadership in artificial intelligence. 

In the interest of competing with Communist China’s aggressive pursuit of AI superiority, however, safeguards and oversight aimed at preventing “FrankenAI” from transforming us into a CCP-like“digital gulag” are being given short shrift. 

Another, less fraught way to keep us ahead of the Chinese Communists would be to stop their underwriting by Wall Street. House China Committee Chairman John Moolenaar has just subpoenaed two of the worst malefactors – Jamie Dimon of JPMorgan and Brian Moynihan of Bank of America – in connection with their recent fundraising for a Chinese military company called CATL.  

You don’t need much intelligence to recognize, as President Trump did in his as-yet-unimplemented “America First Investment Policy,” that we have to stop funding the Chinese Communist Party.

 President Trump weighed in yesterday on “Obamagate” – the nation’s most serious political scandal, ever. Citing evidence released last week by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, Mr. Trump declared that his predecessor, Barack Obama, had personally led an effort to “rig the 2016 election,” then did rig the 2020 one and was guilty of “treason.”

An Obama spokesman responded: “Russia worked to influence the 2016 presidential election, but did not successfully manipulate any votes.” This contention does not address, let alone rebut, the documented pattern of behavior by the then-President and his national security team in the aftermath of Trump’s win that year. 

DNI Gabbard has made a criminal referral to the Justice Department of President Obama and his alleged co-conspirators, saying “every person involved in this conspiracy must be investigated and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

Welcome to “Obamagate.” 

Last week, the former Democratic Member of Congress who is now the Director of National Intelligence released copious documentary proof that in early December 2016, shortly after Donald Trump was elected to succeed him, then-President Barack Obama personally participated in the launch of a bloodless coup. 

DNI Tulsi Gabbard’s evidence has been forwarded to the Justice Department as a criminal referral of what she believes amounted to a conspiracy to commit treason. Her assessment is that all those implicated should be “prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

While the coup did not succeed in its purpose of negating a democratic election and/or overthrowing Mr. Trump’s presidency, it tremendously harmed his first term and the nation. The Obamagate scandal warrants a special prosecutor and its chief perpetrator and every co-conspirator must be held accountable as soon as possible.

On Friday, the United States formally rejected a backdoor expansion of world government. In a joint statement, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert Kennedy, Jr. and Secretary of State Marco Rubio renounced American participation in a de facto treaty sneakily adopted last year by the World Health Assembly with the connivance of the Biden administration, Communist China and assorted other globalists. 

In an accompanying video, Secretary Kennedy made clear what’s at stake. “Are we going to be subjects to a technocratic control system that uses ‘health risks’ and ‘pandemic preparedness’ as a Trojan horse to curtail basic democratic freedoms?” 

He added, “The United States can cooperate with other nations without jeopardizing our civil liberties, without undermining our Constitution, and without ceding away America’s treasured sovereignty.”

In recent days, Syria’s formerly designated terrorist group known as HTS has conducted murderous attacks against Christians and Druze communities and seems set on destroying the survivors and what remains of that long-suffering country’s other minorities. 

Unsurprisingly, the group’s erstwhile leader, Ahmed al-Sharaa, claims to oppose such crimes against humanity. He has, after all, to keep up appearances of having moderated his historic Sharia-supremacism, for which he was rewarded by President Trump with legitimacy and sanctions relief. 

Israel cannot afford such illusions. She has come to the aid of her own Druze population’s relatives in Syria and Christians seeking refuge in their midst. And the Israelis have threatened to destroy al-Sharaa’s regime if it persists in striking them. 

It's time to reconsider the support Washington has given Syria’s jihadist regime and stand, instead, with our friends whom it is determined to kill.

For over three decades, the Chinese Communist Party has waged what it calls “unrestricted warfare” against the United States. Currently, its myriad, devastating lines of attack include what amounts to chemical warfare involving the covert manufacture and dissemination of toxic drugs that are poisoning -- and even killing – large numbers of Americans.

The CCP is not just weaponizing deadly fentanyl. Increasingly, it’s wielding lethal marijuana grown illegally inside this country, as well.

President Trump has commendable understood – and rejected – efforts by champions of “global governance” like the World Health Organization to foist upon Americans international agreements that would crush our sovereignty and personal freedoms. 

To his great credit, Mr. Trump has given notice that the U.S. is withdrawing from the WHO. But it won’t be effective until next January. 

In the meantime, the globalists are hoping he won’t formally reject their bid to advance world government via a pact giving the organization’s leader the right unilaterally to declare international public health emergencies – and dictate what must be done about them. Think the WHO’s disastrous COVID-19 response on steroids.
