In yesterday’s commentary, I gave Donald Trump some advice about his remarks before the United Nations that harkened back to a time when Americans profanely encouraged a previous president, Harry Truman, to give such adversaries, well, let’s just say, a piece of his mind. While I apologize to listeners who took offense, I am grateful that’s precisely what Mr. Trump did in his inimitable way.
Notably, he told the UN: “America will always choose independence and cooperation over global governance, control, and domination. I honor the right of every nation in this room to pursue its own customs, beliefs, and traditions. The United States will not tell you how to live or work or worship. We only ask that you honor our sovereignty in return.”
Thank you, President Trump, for putting America’s sovereignty first, at the UN and every day.

Today, President Trump returns to the United Nations to give the heads of state and diplomats attending its General Assembly a reprise of the “tough love” he dished out last year.
Now, however, the President can point to several steps that he has taken in the intervening period to augment well-deserved criticism with concrete corrective action. For example, he abandoned the theater of the absurd that is the UN Human Rights Council, an organization whose members are among the most notorious of all human rights abusers.
Next, Mr. Trump slashed U.S. funding for the UN agency that perpetuates and enables the Palestinians’ victimhood narrative and their refusal to make peace with Israel.
It’s time he did the same to the UN’s anti-corruption arm being used selectively to undermine another key American ally, the government of Guatemala.
Give ’em hell, Mr. President.

It’s increasingly clear that President Trump and his agenda are confronting not just a so-called “Deep State,” but a “Counter-state” – an institutionalized effort to subvert and otherwise thwart our elected Chief Executive.
New undercover videos by James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas identify individuals nominally working for the President, but actually working against him. Ditto the recent, “anonymous” op.ed. in the New York Times.
And then there are those who formerly engaged in such activity, like ex- CIA Director John Brennan, who are now publicly urging their colleagues still on the inside to refuse to follow the President’s legal orders. Specifically, they seek to block the declassification of documents detailing the Counter-state’s efforts to defeat him – before and after the 2016 election.
What’s underway is a full-blown crisis for our constitutional republic. Vote this fall to drain the Swamp. It may be our last chance.

Sharia is a supremacist ideology that compels faithful Muslims to engage in jihad to make the entire world submit to its anti-Constitutional totalitarian code.
So, what would a man who has embraced Sharia – and those who seek to make it the supreme law of the land in this country – do as the top law enforcement officer of the State of Minnesota? This is a legitimate public policy question since such a man, Congressman Keith Ellison, seeks to be his state’s next attorney general.
A new book by national security expert, author and filmmaker Trevor Loudon raises a host of similar questions about Mr. Ellison’s long record of associations, not only with Sharia-supremacists, but also Marxists, Communists and so-called Democratic Socialists. No wonder the Congressman doesn’t want you to read it.
