For years, a public integrity organization called Judicial Watch has used the Freedom of Information Act to expose official misconduct, corruption and malfeasance. Its revelations about former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s serial violation of government information security rules have been singularly consequential. They have even compelled the FBI and the State Department Inspector General to conduct their own inquiries.

Although the case against Mrs. Clinton has become ever more damning, she continues to deny any wrongdoing.

Last week, Judicial Watch released yet-another batch of Hillary’s emails. They suggest that her illegal, home-brew server shenanigans resulted in the entire State Department’s information technology system being rendered susceptible to enemy hacking.

The full extent of the resulting damage to national security may never be known. But we can say already is that such a record should disqualify Hillary Clinton from being our next Commander-in-Chief.

A

new poll suggests that large majorities of Americans agree with the common

sense proposition that we should stop importing jihadists. A murderous attack

in Orlando heightened concern that we already have too many here. 

This

online survey by Opinion Savvy found that 71% of respondents support “identifying

foreign supporters of Sharia law prior to their admission to the United States.”

Of those favoring such identification, 80% believe Sharia-supremacists should

not be admitted into the country.

Republican

presidential candidate Donald Trump put this issue on the political map last

year by calling for a temporary pause in admissions of Muslims until a way can

be found to determine whether they’re potential terrorists.  In recent days, he has suggested applying

that restriction to would-be immigrants from certain countries.   

Newt

Gingrich argues the defining test should instead be adherence to Sharia. He’s

right.

Britain

has voted for freedom!  The implications

are likely to be profound because British voters have not only given themselves

renewed control over their own destiny. 

They may inspire a reawakening of the desire for sovereign, liberty-loving

and accountable governments on both sides

of the Atlantic. 

The

European Union will now have to begin rolling back its supranational state,

characterized by imperious insistence on unchecked immigration, strangling economic

regulation and unfree speech codes. Should the EU refuse such changes, more member

nations will likely follow Britain’s lead. 

America

may follow Britain’s lead again this

November. In 1979,  British voters made

Margaret Thatcher their Prime Minister with a mandate for small government,

liberty and peace through strength. A year later, their American counterparts

did the same with Ronald Reagan, renewing the Anglo-American “special

relationship” and ultimately “fundamentally transforming” their world.

The

Rim of the Pacific naval exercise set to begin a week from today is a perfect

metaphor for President Obama’s failed security policies. 

The

unstated reason for this massive, month-long drill, known as RIMPAC, is to

demonstrate shared resolve and improve regional capabilities to resist the

growing threat posed by Communist China.  

Both

purposes are undermined, however, by Team Obama’s decision to allow China to

participate. Former U.S. Pacific commander Admiral “Ace” Lyons warns that China’s

five ships will be able to collect vital intelligence on ours and our allies’ –

including insights into how we plan to fight them should that be necessary.

Lyons recommends that we invite Taiwan to participate in RIMPAC.  Doing so would have two benefits:  First, we’d stop excluding an important

democratic nation explicitly threatened by China, and second, the Chinese would

surely drop out.

When

British voters cast ballots tomorrow on whether to remain in or leave the

European Union, they will probably be deciding much more than that narrow

question.  This referendum may be

freedom’s last chance in Europe. 

Nations

across the continent are already facing crushing regulation and galloping

socialism dictated by unaccountable bureaucrats in Brussels.  The European Union says they aren’t allowed

to control their borders or set their own immigration policies.  And their citizens are prosecuted for speech

the Eurocrats, Islamists and the transnational left deem to be “hateful.” 

If

Britain does exit, there’s a chance that not just its people, but others across

Europe will break free, too.  

If,

however, the Brits yield to the coercive threats from elites on both sides of

the Atlantic, liberty and national sovereignty will continue inexorably to

erode, over there and here, as well.

Yesterday, a group founded by the Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas threatened anyone interested in public service. The Council on American Islamic Relations called for blacklisting candidates for office, would-be appointed officials and prospective government employees if they ever exhibited “Islamophobic” sentiments.

As part of CAIR’s latest effort to restrict constitutionally guaranteed freedom of speech, the organization asserted that “Association with anti-Muslim movements or rhetoric discredits those who put themselves forward seeking to earn the privilege of public service, as would active or prior membership in the Nazi Party or the KKK today.”

After the latest jihadist attack in Orlando, it should be clear that – far from being disqualified – those who actually say something when they see something involving Islamic supremacism of the kind promoted by CAIR are precisely the sorts of people who should be in government.

How convenient! Attorney General Loretta Lynch announced that the FBI will release a transcript of the Orlando shooter’s mid-massacre calls to 911. Only, it will have edited out the parts where he declares his loyalty to the Islamic State. She said “What we're not going to do is further proclaim this man's pledges of allegiance to terrorist groups, and further his propaganda.”

Maybe, just maybe, what this highly partisan chief law enforcement officer really won’t do is undercut the Obama administration’s official narrative that this wasn’t actually an act of jihad. That it wasn’t actually the execution on a mass scale of sharia’s explicit command to kill homosexuals. That, as usual, terrorist violence carried out explicitly in the name of a “greater god” has nothing to do with Islam.

Give us the jihadist’s full transcript, and stop lying to the American people.

National Public Radio was recently discovered to have helped a donor disinform NPR’s audience about the Iran nuclear “deal.” In so doing, it played a role in a now-acknowledged White House-sponsored domestic propaganda operation.

A similar effort seems to be underway at the moment. National Public Radio is pushing the official spin that Omar Mateen may not have been motivated by his Islamic supremacism to kill and wound scores of homosexuals in Orlando. The proof? He was into controlling things and brutalized his first and second wives.

Of course, anyone familiar with the Islamists’ totalitarian sharia code would recognize domination and abuse of women as symptoms of sharia-adherence, not evidence of other motivations.

President Obama and his subordinates are determined to blind us to the threat sharia’s followers pose to gays – and the rest of us. So, evidently, is National Public Radio.

Congress is getting ready to do what it does worst: Throw money at a problem.

In this case, the problem is the real danger of more Orlando-style jihadist attacks in this country. So, the U.S. House of Representatives is poised to pour many millions of dollars into President Obama’s fatally flawed “Countering Violent Extremism” initiative.

In practice, this so-called CVE project has legitimated, empowered and funded Muslim Brotherhood operatives and other Islamic supremacists in this country. It has led to the dumbing down of our understanding of the threat such Islamists pose – in their own right and as enablers of the violent jihadists who share their same goal: imposing the totalitarian doctrine of sharia worldwide.

The country would be much better off if Congress would just burn the money, rather than give it to the Muslim Brotherhood and their allies in government.

President Obama and Hillary Clinton are struggling to deflect mounting criticism about their willful blindness to the fact that we confront a global jihad movement that seeks to destroy our country and its people. They refuse to acknowledge that many millions of Islamic supremacists – not just relative handfuls of inexplicably “violent extremists” – are using both murderous jihad and stealthy subversion to impose worldwide the brutally repressive form of totalitarianism known as sharia.

One can almost hear Hillary screeching once again, “What difference does it really make?”

Actually, this failure is not just about their serially lying to the American people. It is at the heart of disastrous policies that both Mr. Obama and Mrs. Clinton have pursued in places like Egypt, Libya, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and Iran – and here – that have squandered lives and national treasure, and left us far less safe.
