  • 152 | Risk, Thrill and ADHD
It's Day 20 of ADHD Awareness Month 2016!
Listen as Michael shares his thoughts about matching up your strengths and skillets with opportunity.
With ADHD, as he explains, sometimes the focus is too much on trying to improve your weaknesses rather than fly with your strengths.
    MICHAEL'S AWESOME QUOTE:
"People with ADHD have tons of ideas...you let them run, like a mustang, they'll take care of it."
Michael attributes his adventurous spirit to having no fear and being a big kid. More than anything, he enjoys just having fun. | Show notes: https://awesound.com/@SeeinADHD/152-risk-thrill-and-adhd-2?auid=anMXGQjL

  • 150 | How Haptic Feedback Can Help With ADHD
Yes! It's day 18 of ADHD Awareness Month 2016.
My guest today shares how an iWatch has literally been the BEST device to help her stick to schedules and create reminders for herself.
Before you go poo-poo-ing because of the price, listen to her rationale. I think it's a fabulous endorsement, and we aren't getting a penny to say so!
    MICHELLE'S AWESOME QUOTE:
"If you could just have as your starter screen what appointments you have that day...it would've put it in the back of my mind."
The truth is, a device with your schedule as the starter screen, Michelle hasn't found yet, but the iWatch has another very cool feature...haptic feedback.
Listen as explains how this has greatly enhanced her life!

    CRISTINA'S AWESOME QUOTE:
"Every single day we are thinking, what the heck am I forgetting?"

  • 146 | What Do Kids Discover Online About ADHD?
In a short amount of time, my guest and I cover a lot of ground on Day 14 of ADHD Awareness Month.
As an educator, she's concerned about what information is out there on the internet for kids to see when they log on.
Because there's so much misinformation easily available, it is worrisome that the stigma will continue to negatively impact children as they become aware of or are diagnosed with the condition.
She's also an adult with ADHD. Her point? She was a kid with it and she grew up, but was only recently diagnosed.
    KANISHA'S AWESOME QUOTE:
"This is still rather new to me as far as really diving in and getting to know about this wonderful gift that makes me who I am."
