Desiring to serve a mission, Brian and Sheri decide to set goals and put in their mission papers in the middle of their careers. Within 6 months each goal was reached with Brian's practice, Sheri's job and their house was in order. They arrived in Chile to begin an 18 month mission of preserving records at a Catholic cemetery.

A few years ago I read an incredible book by Wendy Ulrich called, “ Live up to our Privileges“. She talked about the differences between a powerful teacher and an empowering and unifying teacher. In this episode today I share with you the differences. We are all teachers and have an opportunity to bless the lives of God’s children. Our opportunity to teach on a regular basis in our homes and our wards allows us to progress and learn to teach in the Saviors way. “When we begin to analyze ourselves and look to improve ourselves as teachers, what better model could we find? I have tremendous gratitude for any man or woman who has enlisted to serve our country. My father served in the Army and I always felt great appreciation and awe at his service and sacrifice. As the 4th of July was approaching, I really wanted to interview someone who had chosen to serve our country. This week I had the opportunity to go to girls camp and the theme was “SMALL is MIGHTY, enlist in his work.”After having conversation with family and friends I began to think about all that are use are going through and the condition of the world and some scriptures and quotes came to my mind that gave me great comfort and peace. In this episode I share some of my thoughts and scriptures that can hopefully bring you some light into your life and your family.

Danika will inspire, touch and move you to gratitude, tears, hope and redemption. As a young woman Danika began trying drugs that led her down a path of homelessness, jail and loneliness. When she found out that she was pregnant with her daughter, she realized that her dream to be a mother had come true and she no longer wanted to use drugs and have an unstable life for her child. She cleaned up her life and found love with a friend from her past. Join me as Danika inspires you to love the simple things in life and embrace your life to the fullest.

Born in 1944 in Pocatello Idaho, my dad was raised primarily in Idaho as a young man. His parents worked very hard to provide for their 8 children. My dad was number 7 of 8. His mother had to work full-time so he spent much of his days running around with friends in the neighborhood. As the years past his mother relied on him to help her get around and back and forth to church. They moved to Utah as a teenager and he graduated in Odgen. After a year at the UofU, he served a mission in Mexico City. He studied hard to understand the language and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ. Upon returning home he worked hard. He married my mom in 1967. The Vietnam draft forced him to leave his young family and head to an unknown country. Experiences in Vietnam changed his life and the lives of many. When he finished in Vietnam he returned home to spend the next 46 years working for the USPS and serving in many positions in the church. I am constantly worried about my children and all the rising generations. What is happening to our youth and young adults? How can I help them? What more can be done? As I have read different scriptures, I have been comforted and instructed that all will be well. God is in charge. There is HOPE. President Nelson: June 2018

“You were sent to earth at this precise time, the most crucial time in the history of the world, to help gather Israel,” President Nelson said. “There is nothing happening on this earth right now that is more important than that. … This is the mission for which you were sent to earth.”

President Nelson also said: “Please know this: if everything and everyone else in the world whom you trust should fail, Jesus Christ and His Church will never fail you. The Lord never slumbers, nor does He sleep. He “is the same yesterday, today, and [tomorrow].” He will not forsake His covenants, His promises, or His love for His people. He works miracles today, and He will work miracles tomorrow.”

Lori grew up in a small town in Washington enjoying life and her friends when her parents decided to move out into the country. She was taught to work hard and find ways to be frugal. As the years past, she began to test her boundaries and found herself involved with a crowd of kids that had different plans. Alcohol and drugs began to be part of Lori's life. Lori experienced moments of light and peace but was unable to make a major shift until one day she had an experience that changed her trajectory in life. 3 Nephi 18:30-32

30 Nevertheless, ye shall not cast him out from among you, but ye shall minister unto him and shall pray for him unto the Father, in my name; and if it so be that he repenteth and is baptized in my name, then shall ye receive him, and shall minister unto him of my flesh and blood.

31 But if he repent not he shall not be numbered among my people, that he may not destroy my people, for behold I know my sheep, and they are numbered.

32 Nevertheless, ye shall not cast him out of your synagogues, or your places of worship, for unto such shall ye continue to minister; for ye know not but what they will return and repent, and come unto me with full purpose of heart, and I shall heal them; and ye shall be the means of bringing salvation unto them.
