Happy Holidays, friends!! It’s that time of year again to get together with those closest to you, exchange gifts and stories and time with one another, buy a house, help your best friend paint their house, stress way more about work, get promotions and raises and.. wow where was I going with this?

Life has been busy for us recently! With taking our break and everything else going on, we haven’t seen each other much the last few weeks. So today, on our SECOND SEASONS first episode (she’s all grown up!) we basically just do a bit of catching up and chatting, and talk about our Christmas plans!

We’re so happy to be back, I might be biased but the best gift I’ve gotten this year is getting to continue using this podcast as a way to see my best friend more often. You really have no idea what getting to do this means to us, so thank you to anyone out there listening! We hope we can keep you coming back to hang out with us every other week - because we promise to be on time this season.

Get it? Cause… well you know. It’s that time of year again - hush, it’s definitely still Halloween, ok? we can all pretend together - and we thought what a better time to finally re-record our Mandela theory segment, as well as discuss some more recent conspiracy’s to make waves on the internet, in this, the spoopiest of seasons.

Oh yeah, we’re still alive! Somewhere out there in the internet, and we do - contrary to popular belief - have skin! Skin with which we have chosen to decorate with a colourful tapestry of inks and metals. Whats the saying, your body is a temple, so decorate it how you want? Something like that.

This week we talked for a little too long about the piercings we have, and we had a little fun guessing at the order each other got their tattoos in - more difficult than you’d think! Tune in for some weird stories, laughs, and general scolding about tattoo aftercare.

Join us this week, as we talk for too long about something we watched again. But mostly, we talked for about our regular time about Hamilton, and the show, and his life… and then we got off on a bit of a tangent about Eliza, because lady is a boss.

And yes, we know we should be going to the show ourselves. And of course we would be supporting the actors if we were able to support ourselves and a biweekly podcast without making way too many jokes about being trash and being off schedule.. well, you know. And oh man if anyone wants to buy us tickets.. well, you know.

So if you’re amazing and have the opportunity, go see this show. Seriously. It would be worth it. If you’re trash like us, scavenge the deep underbelly of the internet for a copy to watch and hate yourself just a little for it. If you can’t handle that, tune in to listen to us talk about it for a while, and then go to YouTube and watch the three King’s songs, that’s really all you need at that point.

You heard us right, we’ve been coming at you across the waves of the inter web, bi weekly to the best of our ability for a whole damn year, and damn what a journey it’s been. This episode is basically just us taking a moment to breathe and reflect a little bit, which is rare in our recently pretty crazy lives.

Also, yes I did mean to keep that beginning part in, just to prove how much we suck sometimes, but it worked out for a pretty decent joke so.. All’s well that ends well, right?

Thanks to whoever is here on this ride with us, whether this is your first episode, or you’ve been with us since our first episode, we appreciate you all for giving us your ear even for a moment, even if it’s just to pass some time, cause.. same. This has given two best friends the chance to see each other more in the last year than they have in the many proceeding.

Yeah, that’s right fam, we have another real week this week. We decided this fit well with our episode from last week, and we sat down to have a pretty real discussion about the relationships, and obviously the exes that they led to. That’s not to say that these things still affect us, but they shaped who we are, and they certainly affected us at the time, and it’s important to talk about! Join us this week for an honest heart to heart between friends.

We have wanted to do a body positivity episode for so long, and with summer coming to a close we thought this would be a great way to start the conversation! We start off by playing 1 million dollars BUT and learn even more about each other. Then we ease into the topic by talking about our personal experiences and struggles with body positivity. We also had a special cyber guest, Sebbu! He was gracious enough to write us a letter going into his personal journey with body dysmorphia and loving himself and we could not have been more honoured he chose us to share his story. Strap in folks, it’s gonna get deep up in hurr!

A small forewarning that most of this episode is, you guessed it, unedited gold. Although, you may not think so, so feel free to skip around! Basically, we had planned on doing a drinking challenge and that.. ahem, fell through. So, we stuck to just drinking! This episode makes me giggle with how pure it is, because it’s just us letting loose after a long week together, having some drinks and some laughs, and it’s got more appearances than usual from Chancé boi.

Spoiler warning for Rooster Teeth’s gen:LOCK season 1 basic plot…?

Rooster Teeth (an internet production company) throws a convention every year called RTX and it’s pretty damn magical guys. Now, to be fair, I’ve only been to Fan-Expo in Toronto once last year in 2018, and Anime North back.. I don’t know, too long ago. But I have never seen or heard of a convention like this, and that seems to be the general consensus across the community.

Which is exactly what sets them apart: their community, which is exactly what RTX is about. I mentioned the Guardians briefly in the episode, but the convention wouldn’t be possible without them all and their incredible hard work - you can see a photo of all of them here - so this convention is quite literally by the people, for the people. It started as a chance for the talent of RT to connect with their community, and has only continued to grow.
