Men of the nightswatch… our watch is over…forever. Not only is season 8 of Game of Thrones over, but the entire series is over and we are not okay. In this episode, we have a special guest Chance on to discuss our favourite characters, favourite moments, and also our least favourite moments from the show as a whole. To try and talk about everything in this episode would have killed us, but to death we say, not today.

ell friends. We’ve had some time to collect our thoughts - some of us more than others. And today we have a friend with us! Our resident Marvel expert, and friendly neighbourhood (no longer dead, but probably pretty emotionally scared) Spider-Man, Dayne! This week, we take a note, or erm.. game from one of our favourite podcasts, and then quickly delve into talking all things End Game and the MCU up until this point, as well as what we think the future holds.

We’re late. But like, you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, right?

Either way, we’re back! And nothing has changed (except Megan’s age). Join us for a little bit of a catch up chat, since we pretty much haven’t seen each other since the last time we recorded. Also, we took a Google Home Mini hostage and played some games with it, which is a lot less suggestive than it sounds, but we’re not going to tell you what to think. Form your own opinions! Think critically of everything you see and hear on the internet.

So, it’s birth-month here at Self-TItled Club. As you’re probably aware by now, one has already past, and one is.. quickly approaching. Our small group of friends, especially in our more adult years, only really gets the chance to hang out as a big group every so often. Typically, for birthdays, or our yearly Secret Santa family dinner turned Christmas themed brunch sometime in January with so, so much bacon.

Adult hood is such a weird time, especially for us 90’s kids. Having a solid group of misfits to stumble through it with is kind of vital. The fact that we’ve managed to keep our same little group makes it that much more special.

If you don’t want to listen to almost half an hour of our friends talking about their birthdays, this is probably not the right content for you, but you can skip from 1h02m to 1h31m to get back to the rest of the regular episode.

This week has been.. a weird one for the internet. It’s been an even weirder two weeks here at Self-Titled Club. When we decided to do an episode on conspiracy theories, we didn’t expect to feel like we had landed in the middle of one.

Our editing software decided that one of the theories we planned on talking about was just too real for our listeners, and it deleted just the footage from that theory, and left everything else. We’re also going to go ahead and blame that same glitch in the Matrix on why our episode is so late (mostly, we’re human and we’re sorry and we love you all). So enjoy listening to us talk about the Avril Lavigne Lookalike, whether or not Facebook is listening to you, Flat Earther’s, and a special surprise theory from Morgan that is our new personal favorite.

That’s why on this weeks episode, we decided to sit down and talk to Lizz! Her and Megan go way back to the “good ol’ days”, and not only is she rocking her own thing now with her makeup and craft Pages, but she also has a 6 (almost 7!!) year old daughter named Chloe who kinda kills both of us inside.. like, in a good way.

It’s crazy awesome to watch your friends find something they are passionate about and really grow into it and start to pursue it in their own way, which is lowkey what this whole show is built off of, and this girl has a looongg history with makeup. But it’s also kind of actually insane to not only watch one of your long time friends become a parent, but to watch that weird little potato that likes eggs like way too much grow and mature into their own person, but also somehow a mini version of your friend? Life is an intense ride, and the rest of this podcast is not nearly as serious as this caption. Also, Chloe sings us a song, so does anything other than that really matter?

Either way, this week we talk a little bit about the history of Bell Let’s Talk day, and what the initiative has accomplished nationally as well as on a local level, as we delve into our own experiences with the cause. We also take a little toe dip into our own experiences with mental health issues, whether they affected us or others around us in our community. In this weeks episode, we talk all things New Years, from parties and traditions, to doing a Twitter skim for #2019resolutions and #2019predictions. We also did a quick 60 second story, and make new resolutions for the year to come immediately after trashing them for 20 minutes!
