  • Deep Dive with the Author EP001 "Born In a Bar" GySgt Esterly AKA Scott

Benny digs deep with GySgt Esterly. We discuss his book and where the idea for it came from. This book is made up of short stories from Marines past and present. I love the book and everything it stands for. We are a different breed in deed and this book shows just that. We have all gone through some stuff but this reminds us we aren't alone in the fight. These stories spark a memory in your mind urging you to call a battle buddy. I will buy 9 copies of this book for anyone interested. Send me your address and it'll be in the mail! We discuss a lot of topics in this episode ranging from suicide to alcoholism.

  • Recruiting EP 024 Quit Standardizing
Benny talks with MSgt Wu the man behind Whoiswu and Wufamily table. MSgt Wu had a huge social media following while on Recruiting Duty one that still follows him off the duty. From not knowing what a hashtag was to having 40k followers. He was told to take videos down at times but had a Commanding Officer who stood beside him. We talk about the duty and positive effects it had on his career and life. We also talk about the art of Digital Communication and how people need to quit standardizing the duty. Recruiting Duty isn't a standard. The duty is different in every single AO from RS to RSS. Stop focusing on numbers and focus on the right things. Be the person you are in and out of uniform. People will follow you because they want to. Be true to who you are and be you.

  • Recruiting EP 023 The Individual Duty
Benny and Big Country Sgt Turner talk about the individual duty we call Recruiting. We speak about how it's actually not an individual duty and how we need to become one team one fight. We talk about Fatherhood and his sudden transition out of the Marine Corps. Benny spoke to Turner only a few times while on the duty but they became great friends and brothers through the hardest duty of their lives. Be positive and set goals for yourself. Be the best you and be better for those around you. You may fail time and time again just never give up. Keep the faith and keep grinding.
