Before we proceed with our latest podcast, some news. Mick will be going to the UK & France in a couple of weeks time for a month, so, this will be the only podcast for May & possible only time for one in June. Not to leave you without your dose of electronic music from us or have withdrawal symptoms, we decided to do a best of Sequences to tie you over, to be released the end of May. Because of the thousands of tracks we have from our shows, we’ve called it volume one, picked randomly and quickly. Those musicians not on there, don’t worry your time will come later.

On with our latest edition again is mixed bag of genres, dark ambient from Divided By Two, Red Planet Orchestra & Inner Vision Laboratory, the ethereal atmospherics of Erik Wollo, mighty 70’s sounds of Node , sci-fi themed electro symphonic trek by Sveere Knut Johansen, with David Helping, Johan Tronestam’s melodic sequential sounds, lengthly epics of early Kosmische and Berlin Underground tones of Von Haulshoven, plus many more outstanding releases.

Mark Sheeve’s 1981 ’Firebird’ which was originally on a limited edition cassette, is our blast from the past showing some early sequences led music by him.

Node now takes us into three hours of some extraordinary music from the world of electronic sounds, enjoy.

On the male side, Suduaya purifying melodies & driving baselines, the colourful intense approach by, Lewis James, intimate choral layers from Irezumi, Herd Of Instinct progressive rock album, transformed into slow moving soundscapes, melodic, downtempo, electronics by Rykard, Angel Mario Passotti’s exploration of the universe and imaginative sounds of Giant Skeletons.

Edit ***

You better get your dancing shoes on for this edition, only joking, although there’s a fair amount of sequential melodic

and uptempo tunes here. Included is epic soundtracks, dark doom laden & heavy organ sounds from Albert Pulstar, Adamennon & Gavin Morretti,

World music from Karmarius & Nitish Kulkarni, with VA7 & Mysture on the fringes of instrumental prog rock, tracks from Yves Potin’s reworked & remastered previous albums, touches of Jazz & experimentation here, ambient music from The Long Light & K Markov, the latter with minimalistic rhythms, a touch of Berlin school with sequencers in full flow by Akikaze, continuing his melodic and infectious tunes Jesper Sorensen and Jarguna’s, ethno organic sounds with added sequencers.

Blast from the past is the almost gothic synth ambiences of 3rd Millennium’s Choice Volume 2, from the avante gard musician Peter Frohmader, released in 1991.

For those of you who have time off for this Easter holiday and feeling bored, why not join us for a few hours, on our musical journey with the latest edition of Sequences. Out of the 18 musicians here, 11 make their first appearance. On the more ambient side we have Jeff Greinke rich textured soundscapes, Off Land’s dreamworld, the mysterious sound of Sampan Viking and Loomer’s sequential ambient music with him occasionally using the accordion, The melodic sounds taken care of by Nils Frahm intricate compositions, the lush cinematic worldly music of Sampan Symbion, influences of psychedelic from Harald Gramberg. and ex Kinetix member Colin Jordan with his new band Axxent Opaque.

I would like to welcome three of woman on this issue, dark apocalyptic themes by Dalys and from South America Valesuchi & Sobrenadar rhythmical melodic tunes.

Although not electronic, our vintage track comes from the pure mighty sound of the Baroque organ on the 1976 Hymns Spheres, in the hands of Keith Jarrett, who milks all available sonic features to mighty heights, the capabilities of this organ is beyond what is normally heard.

Its finally here, the new Wavestar’s album, at the helm once again the delectable, charismatic, John Dyson, in company with Paul Ward & Stephan Whitlan, take it away guys.

Hi everyone, it’s that time again to immerse yourself into a host of great electronic music presented by Sequences coming from a very wet, hot & steamy Queensland.

Although we love the melodic & accessible side to electronic music, be it Berlin School, Chill-out, New Age and so on, the experimentation of ambient atmospheric music takes us into the fascinating collage of sounds beyond the boundaries of easy listening and throes up so many aspects of what man and machines can do, haunting & captivating, but don't worry, we are still bringing a good choice of diverse sounds, accessible & listenable, which are mostly from new album releases.

Taking care of the ambient & the experimental side include, Numina, David Gerard, Juta Takahashi, Spacetime Continuum, K Ambient Sounds, Claudio Casanueva & Shall Remain Nameless, this leaves us with Ryo Utasato, Stephan Whitlan, Dask, Karmarius, Ron Boots & Others & Daniel Pierzecki, covering symphonic, sequential, melodic & even a touch of prog rock sounds.

Our vintage track, 'Shades Of Night Descending', by Walter Holland, comes from the 1990 Compilation Album, 'Dali The Endless Enigma'.

We begin our 3 hour journey with the epic soundtrack music of Ryo Utasato

After the uptempo rhythmical & sequential electronics being more dominate in the first two editions of the new year, we are back with a varied mix, to include the ambient space sounds with the duo Perceptual Dreams & Syndromeda, ethnic instruments & minimalist soundscapes by Forest Fang, Strom Noir, described as guitar & loop based with a melancholic feel, the powerful mix of blended electronics & acoustic space atmospheres, by J.Arif Verner, & the huge wall of sound from Red Planet Orchestra.

New comers to Sequences are, Finish composer Janne Hanhisuanto, interestedly, using only the SYNA D.I.Y. polyphonic synth on his latest release, Spanish musician Llia Rodriguez, known as Hypnodial creating a canvas of layered ambiance, Shaun & Clive from MonkeyTrial, a brand of rhythmical scores electronica & guitars, with our only female Enlia, a French musician giving us textured atmospheres & haunting melodies.

As some of our friends are freezing their butts off in the northern hemisphere, we’ve chosen a suitable vintage track for you all, Cold, from Artemiy Artemiev 1997 album release Cold,

We leave it to Digital Horizons infectious sequences on the titled track ‘Forged In Autumn’ from his new album to kick off the show.

Edit ***

Welcome to our second podcast of the New year 2018, already flowing with some great music in electronic sounds,

On board with this edition includes tracks from new albums by, Eagle, Jesper Sorensen, ToXyGeNeDK, Rene Van Der Wouden, giving us rhythmical sequential music with a touch of Berlin School, Ian Boddy & Eric Wollo’s third collaboration of haunting electronics & guitar, Kristain Westergaard mighty epic scores, the ambient sounds of Patrick Pique & Flica, the latter a more minimal approach, WilyEPeyote & Ivan Black sonic collage of intricate sounds, the spacial ambience in Napoca Experiment, Deep Imagination’s deep sounding notes with jazzy tones, leaving Eifel Music & Shamall veering on the prog rock side.

Ending this session, our golden oldie track Puls, coming from the echoed guitar textures on the 1979 release Uberfallig by Gunter Schickert.
