I feel a bit silly making this episode since I feel like a complete novice! ...but I just wanted to share my story behind growing my YouTube channel from almost no subscribers to nearly 10,000 in under 3 months.
I started out (and still am) a total newbie to YouTube but there were a few intentional things I did to help grow my channel and I wanted to share that with you too.
If you'd like to stalk my YouTube you can do so here: https://www.youtube.com/@jacquinaunton

In this episode, Jenn Donovan and I (Jacqui Naunton) uncover three common marketing mistakes made by small business owners and discuss effective strategies to avoid them. By addressing these blunders, entrepreneurs can enhance their marketing efforts, connect with a wider audience, and achieve their goals.
Mistake #1: Not Showing Up: Many entrepreneurs hide behind their products or services, missing out on the opportunity to establish a personal connection with customers. We explore the importance of human-to-human marketing and share practical ways to overcome the fear of showing up, including leveraging personal branding through professional photography, short videos, and using your voice.
Mistake #2: Forgetting to Sell: Finding the right balance between selling and providing valuable content is crucial. We discuss how some business owners either shy away from selling or go overboard with promotions. Discover subtle selling tactics and strategies to showcase the human aspects of your business, while maintaining a healthy balance. We also emphasize the significance of analyzing social media platforms, particularly Instagram, to strike the right selling-content equilibrium.
Mistake #3: Not Having a Strategy Around Marketing: One of the key mistakes entrepreneurs make is not having a well-defined marketing strategy. Jenn and I delve into the importance of planning ahead and being strategic with your marketing efforts. Exploring how to identify upcoming events or quieter months that present marketing opportunities, such as World ___ Days or slower seasons. Avoid rushing your marketing and embrace a proactive approach. We discuss the benefits of scheduling dedicated time to assess your business plans, strategy, and goals, allowing you to create a comprehensive marketing plan.
Tune in next week for more branding and business tips and tricks to help you grow your small business. Stay tuned and stay awesome!

In this episode, we dive into the topic of self-worth as a business owner with guest expert Sam Dhu. Sam is a Psychotherapist and self worth coach who believes when we harness our inner resources of self-compassion/worth/acceptance it can be the difference between being stuck in survival mode and confidently thriving.
During the interview, Sam shares stories and experiences of self-worth, and offers insights and tips on how business owners can improve their own self-worth. She explains that self-worth is not something that has to be earned or achieved, but rather something that is innate and already within us.
Sam also discusses the importance of self-awareness and understanding our own values and beliefs. She emphasizes the need to be intentional about the messages we give ourselves and to cultivate a positive mindset.
This episode is a must-listen for any business owner or entrepreneur who struggles with self-worth, overworking, procrastination or fear of putting our business out there, and wants to learn how to overcome their limiting beliefs and create the success they desire.

All any business owner on Instagram wants is to stand out! Stand out so they can attract new followers AND keep showing up in the feeds of current followers.
There are 5 tips I recommend every biz owner remember when they are designing their graphics for social media (aka. the visual that will stand out and draw people into the brand and caption).
Keep every post branded #noexceptions
Use "portrait" size instead of "square" posts to take up more space
Hierarchy and messaging - take your viewer on a visual journey of text at different sizes rather than overwhelming with too much info.
Use imagery that is relevant to your business, you or the posts message
Check your analytics and post content that performs. Focus on content that will draw in new followers AND content that will equip current followers
