The first part of Luke 3 describes how corrupt the political and religious system was at the beginning of Jesus’ and John the Baptist’s ministry. Yet their boldness to speak their message conquered any opposition. The Lord would invite us today to not give up our confidence but speak the truth freely.

2021 will not be any different if God’s church does not share and demonstrate the hope they have found in the washing of the Holy Spirit. Our hope is in Christ alone and the world needs that hope now, more than ever.

Mary, a young girl, filled with the Spirit, gave praise to God at the promise of Jesus. Her words still ring true for our world today.

The world will follow those who have hope. The darker the world gets, the brighter the hope of the believer shines.

There is the excitement and happiness of living in God’s blessing, but there is a joy that goes much deeper. It is the very joy of God Himself. It is the joy that we receive by being confirmed to the nature of God. This joy is steady, courageous and strong.

Now, more than ever, we must realize and commit to the power and support of the family of Christ. Together we can overcome any obstacle as brothers and sisters in one body of Christ Jesus.
