But when we read them, we can interact with them and receive more of the mind and heart of the Lord. The Old Testament isn’t old by any means! As we press on in our study we’ll cover the Book of 1 Samuel today, focusing on the opening story of this narrative portion of the Bible. An amazing woman, Hannah, is the focus of chapter one and she represents everyone who has ever found that comparison between people can be a harsh reality. God shows us how to handle this all too common situation through Hannah’s story.
