- Pastor Abraham begins by recapping the story in Mark 5. Here we are introduced to an example of two generations, an older generation represented by the woman with the issue of blood and a younger generation by the young girl. The good news is the hope for both generations is only Jesus Christ. Only Jesus can bring new revival and renewal into these generations. Jesus had a message to the older generation: “keep on pressing on” and to the younger generation “wake up - rise up.”

- When we get saved, we take on a new nature, the nature of Christ. The Holy Spirit provides us with the ability to live accordingly, but our old spirit of self-centered living doesn’t necessarily go away quietly. In fact, he often sticks around in the shadows, trying to work his way back into a position of power in our lives. Instead of trying to move forward with this dual nature warring inside us, Pastor Doug discusses the ways in which we can defeat our old nature, once and for all.

- We tend to spend time thinking about gifts that we would like to receive, maybe even drawing up a list for others to use as they shop for us. But, how much time do we spend thinking about and asking God for the gifts He has for us? There are actually as many as 19 types of gifts that are given to us through the Holy Spirit, enabling us to do everything that God has called us to do.
