Vijay introduces today's baptisms with a reflection on how God pursues us and prompts us to surrender our lives to him. Many still resist his pursuit even if it hurts them. Testimonies by Sam Taylor and Brendan McLaughlin follow the sermon. Both tell their story of what brought them to the place where they want to be baptised as believers. James Packham brings a poignant meditation on what it means to run the race of faith and finish well. Looking at Hebrews 12, he encourages us to persevere faithfully knowing that a great cloud of witnesses is supporting us. And more importantly - that God himself runs alongside us to make sure we cross the finish line.

Some people are quick to spot the miraculous hand of God in their own lives, the lives of others and in circumstances. Other completely miss it. Vijay looks at the account of Jesus at the Wedding in Cana where he turns water into wine (John 2:1-12). He gleans insights from this passage that help us keep us sensitive to the incredible glory of God present particularly in the ordinary events of day to day life.

Iain continues his studies in Colossians by considering Col 1 v15. He encourages us to remember that Jesus is the Christ. The one who is all powerful, who created everything and who knows everything.
