Sermon Notes
The ascension is the final divine stamp of approval of Christ’s ministry.
It marks the completion of our Lord’s earthly ministry.
On the day of ascension, Jesus gave His disciples a promise of the Holy Spirit and a commission to be His witnesses to the ends of the earth.
The source of the disciples’ joy is the assurance of Christ’s continuous presence with them.Sermon Application
What is the source of our joy as Christians especially in turbulent times?
How is our witness of Christ in a culture that is hostile to the gospel?
Christianity is a gift and a task. Receiving the gift of God’s inner closeness and as a consequence- bearing witness to His Lordship. May we all begin to look for witnessing opportunities in our lives.
Ask God how you can have a part in His mission to the rest of the world.Questions?
