Sometimes things happen that are out of our control. Sometimes those things are no fun. Sometimes they're downright awful. How do you react when life goes a bit off the rails?

The story of Stephen is one of conversation turned character attack turned violent murder. But perhaps we've all played a role in this kind of story in our own lives too?

When pressed against the wall, Stephen remains faithful. He simply tells the truth in an unwavering way.

As the ministry grew and expanded the needs of the people also changed. The apostles needed to make arrangements to handle the needs of the people. This is that part of the story.

There are many odd things that happen in the Bible and this chapter is one of them until you realize what was being accomplished in these events.

As we look at what it means to be a follower of Jesus one thing is brutally evident through the Bible. We have to be given a new way of thinking. The bible calls this born again. But what does that mean? How does that happen? These are some of the thoughts we address in this week's message.

Today we meet up with Peter and John on trial for speaking their faith. Yet their prayer is super critical.

Acts 3 find Peter and John on the move. The faith and belief of this two men is vital to how the church gets started. They are pressed for their actions but prove up to the challenge.

The greatest moments in life are ones that happen when we're expecting something yet don't know exactly what we're going to get. The book of Acts tells the story of the start of something pretty powerful. The disciples were waiting but for what? They didn't really know! This is what happens when they get what they didn't know they were waiting for!

Acts chapter 2 is the springboard for what we know as the church. It's the time when the last promise of Jesus is fulfilled and realized. It's a pretty remarkable scene!
