Jesus is preparing for His final week of ministry, which will culminate in His going to the cross and His resurrection. But before that, Jesus will enter Jerusalem as “The Coming King.”

ohn describes a remarkable scene in which Mary anoints Jesus with expensive ointment. Her actions, as well as the response from Judas, give us insight into the different types of hearts of mankind.

Our hope is in the Lord, who redeems His people and gives them strength. We neglect the power of prayer to our detriment. In the account of the Canaanite woman who comes to Jesus, we see a mother who knows that she can’t save her daughter, only Jesus can.

The Bible teaches us that children are a blessing from the Lord. Parents are to point them to the Lord Jesus Christ and to build a home that is loving and nurturing.

The Scriptures describe how mothers disciple their children in the knowledge of the Lord. Not every day is Mother’s Day, but we can be thankful to the Lord every day for mothers.
