It is not just the ideas of the Bible that are inspired, but the very words – each and every one of them. Jesus emphasizes one word from one verse of the Bible as authoritative.

The Lord Jesus Christ made sure that He described salvation for us with its proper emphasis – the sovereign Lord God has chosen to save a people, and by His grace, He makes them His own.

Jesus wants us to know that He cares for His people and laid down His life to save them.

Throughout the world today, people are trying to find hope in all sorts of places except in Jesus Christ. Many promise life and salvation – only to be unable to satisfy. Jesus tells us that He is the One who knows us and our need.

One of the most significant obstacles to coming to Jesus is the sense people have that they do not need a Savior. “Jesus saves sinners” does not resonate with them because they believe that while others are sinners in need of a Savior, they are not in that category.
