Perhaps the most well-known verse in the Bible, John 3:16 sets forth for us the great love of God and His provision of the Lord Jesus Christ for sinners.

What Jesus tells Nicodemus and us is that without the new birth, we are hopelessly lost. He tells us to look to Him.

Jesus teaches us that the new birth from above is necessary to enter the Kingdom of God.

While we may be surprised to see Jesus going through the temple area with a whip driving out the merchants and money-changers, we must realize that He was entirely correct in doing so and did so with righteous anger.

With the transformation of water into wine (the best wine!) Jesus shows that He is the “Lord of Creation”
