One of the most mysterious and powerful scenes in the New Testament is our Lord Jesus Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane. The mystery of Jesus, being fully God and fully man, is on display before us.

Mark 14:43-52 shows us Christ; betrayed, deserted, and alone, as his disciples forsake him in the hour of his arrest.

Instead of trusting in riches and taking advantage of others, as the men in James 5 do, we are called to live lives of bold faith in God and cheerful generosity to others.

At the close of his second letter to the church at Corinth, Paul gives a final statement of encouragement and blessing.

The Fourth Commandment is the first positive command given in the Decalogue. God has given it to us for our good.

It is not enough that we grow as individual believers; we must seek the growth and health of the church as a whole

The gospel tells us that we are weaker than we think we are, and we must rejoice in our weakness.

The Third Commandment is about more than avoiding "off-color" language. It instructs us how we are to speak and to regard the majesty of the Lord.
