In Mark 13, Jesus gives extended teaching from the Mt. of Olives. He has prophesied about the destruction of the temple and the disciples have asked about the timing of this event.

Two great truth that we must remember: first, that grace precedes holiness and second, that grace must lead to holiness.

The Bible does not give us detailed instructions for every event or issue in life. What it does give us is a clear knowledge of principles we are to live by, in light of the grace that God gives.

The Christian ministry is not just a detached exposition of theology. Ministry does include the transmission of the truth of God’s Word to others, but there is more than that.

The good news of the gospel is what the prophets searched for, the apostles declared, and what the angels longed to look into.

When a person comes to believe in Jesus Christ as Savior, that is not the end, but rather a beginning. It is the beginning of a life of serving Jesus – ministering in His name so that others will hear the gospel and be saved.

Israel faces an attack from a fierce enemy. Faith in the Lord God stirs Israel to action.

The Apostle Paul never overlooked the need to tell others the gospel. With great fervency, he appealed to men and women, boys and girls, to answer God’s call of salvation.
