Jesus' Baptism by John in the Jordan River marked him as God's chosen and beloved Son who would fulfill all righteousness in our behalf. At our own Baptism, we are baptized into Jesus' death and resurrection, and all that He has done for us.

Who needs another retreaded story?

There are many things that we're afraid of in life. In the Christmas story, three times the angel tells Joseph, Mary, and the shepherds, "Do not be afraid." The Lord tells us the same today.

Our coming King doesn’t want anyone passed by or left behind.

The ministry of John the Baptist takes places where the wild things are as he calls all people to repentance. We, too, are called to repentance before the Lord's final advent when He comes again to judge the world in righteousness.

Signs of the season abound!

It’s the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine.
