If we do not make money - the earthly treasure God has entrusted to our care - our servant, it will soon be our master. Who - or what - are we living for? Fruitful use of treasure sees money as a tool and instrument to glorify the Lord, build up God's kingdom, and bless the lives of others.

Our talents are gifts made to be used, and therein lies beauty

Time is arguably the most valuable resource we have, so how do we make fruitful use of it - not just for ourselves, but in ways that will honor God and be a blessing to others? Fruitful use of time begins with God and flows out of all that Jesus has done for us.

God's Word calls our attention to our pride and turns us to blessed humility

No human being can tame the tongue and cure its deadly poison - what can we do?

Jesus ministered to outsiders - those not part of the house of Israel - including the daughter of the Syrophoenician woman and the man who was deaf and mute. In doing so, he broke down barriers as the kingdom of God broke into our world through Jesus. We, too, were outsiders, but have been brought into God's family through the cleansing blood of Jesus.

Jesus proclaims that man's problem is not things on the outside that contaminate or defile us, but things from the inside out - from within our own heart. This is why Jesus came: to create in us new and clean hearts.

Jesus is the "life-ing" bread that fuels our journey through the world

Jesus is the Bread of Life who has come down from heaven to give life to the world. He calls us to let go of all that does not satisfy and is not life-giving, and turn to him. He fills and satisfies us as nothing else can do. Jesus the Bread of LIfe is our food for life.

We have a sure foundation in Jesus, even in a chaotic world
