Jesus came to Jerusalem on that particular day because he was coming to participate in Passover. The people shouted 'Hosanna' because they were shouting 'Save us now!' Jesus didn't come to save just those under the heel of Rome, but to save everyone, far beyond the boundaries of the Roman Empire. People had their own ideas of what Jesus was going to do. Even today, people still have their own ideas of who Jesus really is.

Why did Jesus endure the humiliation at the hands of the soldiers? Because God has forgiven the inexcusable in us. No matter what we do, all is excusable, when we accept our sinful nature and accept the Salvation of Good through Jesus Christ. We need to be put back together. God sent His son to reconcile a broken humanity. People can also forgive each other.

Jesus is a healer to many in need. Jesus' reputation preceded Him and wherever He went, people placed the sick and lame in His path. The man who was healed was urged by Jesus not to talk about it. Jesus used ordinary touch to heal. Nothing special, no special incantations or rituals. In a high-tech world, we need to be a high-touch church.

In Gethsemane, one can understand how it is difficult for friends to be there for each other. Gethsemane means 'olive press' in Hebrew. Here Jesus faced His difficult task, going into the press of his soul. Never before does one feel all alone than when abandoned by those close.

The foundations of our lives reveal the depth of our faith.

Because we are Christians, we are not better. We are beggars lucky enough to have found food. We must share our newfound food.

God taught the World about agape love in the life, ministry and resurrection of Jesus. We can change the world through agape love.

When we refuse to forgive we entrap ourselves in a prison of sin

We can reach out and do more good when we follow Christ's example of comforting others.
