How we live as Christians is essential.

As we take a break from our study in Ephesians today we look at an episode in Acts, as Paul and Silas declare the gospel from a prison cell.

We are called to no longer live the way we did before we came to Christ, but now by the renewing of our mind by God’s Word we are to put off our old way of thinking, attitudes and living.

God has graciously gifted the church, so that by His enabling it can grow into the fullness of Christ and fulfill its mission of filling the earth with the glory of Christ.

Paul calls the church to live a life worthy of our calling. This life is to be marked by unity that displays to the world the greatness of God.

Today, we celebrate the greatest day in history - the remembrance of God raising Jesus up from the grave.

Paul prays, being moved by the great power of God to do the impossible in the church.

The church is to declare to the heavenlies the beautiful diversity of the gospel that brings Gentiles and Jews together in the church showing that God is wise.

The power of the gospel not only brings individuals unto salvation, but creates a new people for the glory of God

Today, Paul wants those who are in Christ to remember the great power of the gospel, truly amazing grace.
