Worship is a broad term that applies to how we live our lives in obedience to God, but in this sermon Homer digs into the heart of worship through song. What the importance is of pouring out our souls for the King. If you can't flip out about Jesus dying on the cross for you then there is something wrong with your love muscle for the Lord. Really allow this message to cut down to the core of your motivations and actions. Worship through song is our opportunity to pour out our gratitude to God for His benefits and blessings.

We aren't just good at it, I'd say we are professionals at justification. It's so easy for us to find an excuse for our actions, even when we know they are wrong. We can be masters of manipulation and in our sinful human nature we are always looking for angles to benefit ourselves. In this message, Homer shares truth from the Scriptures that will melt away those justifications and spur us towards a life that seeks to do right by God and others.

In this sermon, BJ digs through some nuggets of wisdom from Solomon, David and some NT writers. He presses on how important loving and godly correction is for the life of a believer and urges us to heed the warnings presented to us. No matter how much we it may hurt to admit, we all need discipline and correction at times. Let's not let pride keep us from growing into a people that seeks to be holy as God is holy.

In this sermon, our Associate Pastor, BJ Stewart, goes over some directional changes for our church but he also digs into the purpose, meaning and misconceptions about worship, prayer and the Lord's Supper. We can get so caught up in the religious routine and traditions that have been around for so long that we fail to look more deeply into why we do these things and what Jesus said and taught about them.

Genesis 12:1-9

This week Homer digs back into Abram's journey from a land where he was comfortable and prosperous into the unknown. God calls us to step out in courageous faith, even when we don't know the details. Thankfully, we don't need to know details when we have courageous biblical faith because with that we know that God will never leave us stranded in the desert. What we see set before us may look impossible, but the Word says that nothing is impossible with God. Let's make courageous steps with our heart to live, walk and obey God's calling.

Genesis 12:1-9

As difficult as it may be to admit, we all lack courage at times. We have all experienced the fear of the unknown. As we dig through the Scriptures we see time after time that God calls His people to do things in faith. There isn't always clarity, and it isn't promised to be easy, but God always delivers on His promises when we are faithful and courageous enough to follow Him. Homer digs into the passage where God calls Abram to leave everything behind and trust in His plan.

Former rural farmer now pastor, Jeff Robinson, brings a word from the parable of the mustard seed. He also digs into to the parable of the sower and the great power of the Word of God, as it is scattered across the land. There is potency and significance in the seemingly small things.
