We know this world is full of burdens, difficulty, and pain but we don't always realize there is so much burden within our church home. A command of Christ is not just to love each other but to bear each other's burdens. To love each other to the point of action, or even pain, on our part. Homer digs into the truth of Scripture to reveal that it isn't that complicated. It might be hard or take time but it isn't complicated to listen, to love and to help someone carry the weight that might be crushing them.

Galatians 6:2

Homer follows last week's sermon about laboring in the Lord with explaining what our motivation behind that should be. We can't labor in the Lord and see fruit if we aren't delighting in the Him or resting in His goodness. Passion for the Lord fuels our motivation to labor for Him and love His people.

Isaiah 61:10

Homer dives into the Word and digs into what it means to be a laborer. Scripture calls us to follow the example of Jesus and labor in love. It can be hard, sweaty, painful, toilsome work but there is joy, fulfillment, purpose, and abundance found in serving the Lord.
