Serving God is your purpose in life. This is why God left you here after you were saved. “Fear the Lord and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you” (1 Sam 12:24). You receive a spiritual gift from the Holy Spirit at the moment of salvation. Using your spiritual gift is one way to serve God. You must be filled with the Holy Spirit and have some spiritual growth for your gift to be effective. This is what the Lord Jesus Christ said about serving, “If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him” (John 12:26).
