Everyone, at one time or another, has felt like he or she’s been punched in the stomach by life - been given almost a knockout punch!

• Your breath was literally knocked out of you.
• You felt like all your strength had been zapped out of you.
• You felt like falling down on your hands and knees gasping for air.
• Perhaps, in your struggles, you even uttered the words, “Just let me die!”

Sometimes, these periods in life appear right out of the blue, while at other times, they develop over days, weeks, and even months.

In our darkest moments, we wonder if God has forgotten about us - we wonder if God has abandoned us.

When you and I are in the deep valleys of life, we often:

God, in His great love, reaches out to sinful human beings.

This is why we are saved because God is a seeker and a saver of those who are lost. This is true to the nature of God.

In our sinfulness, in our fallenness, in our blindness, in our ignorance, in our association and relationship to the kingdom of darkness and under the power of Satan, we cannot seek after God, we do not seek after God.

Though God wills, and longs, for all men and women to be saved, if any perishes, it is their own fault.
