Serving Jesus Christ

In this episode of Serving Jesus Christ, in the message, "What It Comes Down To Is This", Pastor Swanson shares that as a result of God's love He sent Jesus, His only begotten Son to fix the breach that sin caused between God and man.

As we now look back on the event of Christmas, we also look forward to the event of Easter. Even though we focus a great deal on the pageantry of Christmas, the reality is that Jesus entered into human history for the specific purpose of dying on the cross.

Moving forward to this moment in time, salvation is now universally available to all who would accept the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ.

In this episode of Serving Jesus Christ, in the message, "Can God Really Use Me?", Pastor Swanson shows that if God could take a man like Saul of Tarsus, save him by grace on the road to Damascus, and then transform him into the great Apostle, you and I ought to realize that there is hope for people like you and me to be used of the Lord.

Do you want to be the kind of person God uses? Regardless of what it costs in time, energy or reputation, it will be worth it to be used by the Lord.

In this episode of Serving Jesus Christ, in the message, "Heads Above Others", Pastor Swanson illustrates the fallacy of thinking that when we stand face to face with God trusting in our own righteousness, He will never reject us.

Many recognize they have done wrong; but not that much wrong, not enough for God to reject and condemn them, not for eternity.

However, if we truly grasp the Gospel, illusions of righteousness quickly disappear.

In this episode of Serving Jesus Christ, in the message, "The Power Of Prayer", Pastor Swanson notes that too often we resort to earthly means to accomplish that which can only be accomplished through persistent prayer and trust in God.

Instead of viewing prayer as our action of first resort, we relegate it to the position of last resort. Instead, we go it alone in our own strength!

Often our enemy whispers, "God doesn’t care about you and He isn’t answering. Why waste your time with these worthless prayers?"

It’s easy to get discouraged and quit praying, which cuts us off from the very help - the very source of power that we need!
