The Crone & Sage continue finding more “moments” throughout our day where pausing for a brief period of time to acknowledge something in our daily lives to help manage our personal spirituality a little bit better. We offer up two more in this episode: Appreciating a Good Weather Day and Acceptance with Grace. People are great at complaining about the weather but this is a way to enjoy our own “perfect” weather. Also there are times when we can all use some help to accomplish something and learning to accept that fact and allow us to be okay with that (the grace piece) prompted some interesting discussion points between us.

Tonight the Crone & Sage start talking about the Loafmas Activities that we are working on over the next season. We are looking at a number of beliefs concerning our practice of Witchcraft to see where we have grown and changed over the last year. In our Lunar Cycle, we are at the last of the Waning Cycle and tomorrow we start our 3 nights that we call the Dark Nights of the Moon where we can’t see it in the night sky. The Liturgy reading done by the Crone is a Praise Prayer this week about My Sacred Three. During the Ritualization of the Everyday, we realized that we are really much more connected to the Lunar Cycle than before and that we need to start deciding what we will be focusing on learning about over the upcoming Dark Half of the Year. Finally, our Sage finishes up with our usual Witchstones Reading about upcoming available energies.

Today, the Crone and Sage take about another couple of moments where it can be beneficial to pause, take those three deep breaths (Body, Mind, and Spirit) and deal with life. First, they talk about recognizing when we connect with those moments of child-like wonder. The Sage connects the feeling to that of a Christmas morning when you sneak down to look at presents and discover the milk and cookies left out for Santa have been eaten and you just know he is real. It’s that feeling you can find in all aspects of the natural world for us on The Path. They also talk about lessening the frustration we all feel when we feel physically trapped or cornered by circumstances beyond our control (think traffic jam or stuck in line at the grocery store here) and cultivating a little (okay sometimes a lot) of patience to deal with it.

The Crone & Sage are entering the Season of Loafmas officially after completing our three ritual cycle where we will be focusing on improving our relationship with the Element of Air. Because we associate this Element with Knowledge and New Perspectives, this is the time of year where we focus on looking at how our personal spiritual beliefs have grown and changed over the last year, not only to recognize the work we have been doing but to determine if what we are currently practicing continues to match these beliefs. It is another Full Moon this weekend and we call the August Moon the Bread (or Grains) Moon. It is traditionally an agricultural time of separating the wheat from the chaff so what we are analyzing fits. The two of them discuss how the Lunar Energy of Full Moons lately has been affecting them more than usual. The Liturgy Reading, by the Crone, is our traditional circle cast that we use when working magick as part of a ritual. Talking about what we have been doing to start connecting with the Element of Air  has been our everyday focus. Finally, the Sage concludes with another excellent Witchstone Reading.

We have been offering short prayers, meditations, whatever you want to call them to work our way through various Occasions in our lives. Some of them may happen daily, others rarely, or not at all. First, we share a prayer for When Recognizing that Magick Works and that we had something to do with what happened. Then we move on to a topic that we hope no one has to deal with: The Shock of Someone Passing Unexpectedly. This is a difficult topic to discuss because our society does not have adequate words to deal with the death of someone we care about. However, this prayer is available if it is unfortunately needed as we begin to cope with the news.

The Crone and Sage begin by talking about finishing up the Times of Beltane Activities because the Times of Loafmas will be starting shortly. We will say farewell to working most closely with the Element of Earth and reestablishing our practice foundations. It’s a Full Moon today and it’s the Heat Moon where we work and practice. We have been experiencing extremely high temperatures and humidity over the last couple of weeks which makes the name even more of a match than usual. Our Liturgy Reading features a Psalm of Joy and yes, we define Psalms as praise poems of some sort. The two of us are up to many daily practices as part of our Ritualization of the Everyday and it is amazing how many of them we have, often without even realizing what we are doing. Finally, our Sage finishes the episode with his usual Witchstones Reading about potential upcoming energies for us to be aware of.

They begin today’s conversation talking about the negative reactions of some people to the word “Liturgy” itself and we hope it allows people who may be put off by this a chance to understand why we picked this loaded word not only for our book title but this particular section of it also.
