“I have seen the future of horror, and his name is Clive Barker.” Steven King. Having a quote from Mr. King nowadays is pretty standard with most horror fiction. Also I have seen a quote or two in action novels like The Grey Man by Mark Greaney. But, for back in the eighties, a quote from the King of Horror Fiction was rare. And for it to say THAT. Wow! Speaking for myself, after reading that same quote in a ‘85 or maybe ’86 Fangoria, I immediately went out to Waldenbooks and bought The Books of Blood. All these years later, Clive Barker’s writing still delivers. It still frightens, sickens, and delights me. Maybe even more, as I visit his novels almost annually. My fellow Gory Boyz feel the same way and in this Session, we do our usual treatment of the “future of horror” himself, Clive Barker. Enjoy.

What f**ked up sh*t humans do to other humans. It’s apparent that the French creators felt similar because these films that we exported from France are n between 2000 & 2010 dealt mainly within the human race rather than some opposing inhuman power. So I have not seen much of the AMC tv show but I have read all of the graphic novels. My Partners N Gore have not read the comics but yo, they have seen every second of the show. So together we combine and fill in the holes I describe the comic timeline and they describe the differences. Enjoy

Peeling back the dirty carpet of film to find the stain of our beloved horror looking back.

There was this show we used to watch back in the day called MTV’s Fear. Yo! That show was legit. Now if you look at why they canceled it so early, even though they were so successful, they site budgetary issues. Come on now. But back then, when I scoured the 2002 prehistoric internet, I read that either people died while filming or more realistic, they traumatized a young woman so bad, she had to be hospitalized. No joke. Try finding the truth now. But yea, here is our discussion on Paranormal Activity. And our newest member of the crew has fit it perfectly, so happy.

Oscar and Horror is like drinking Orange Juice while eating Chocolate Chip Cookies. Look, when you put in the effort, you deserve the correct credit. On Friday the 13th we discuss the first two films in the slasher epic Friday the 13th.

A person walked down the street snacking on a chocolate bar, another clueless person eating peanut butter appeared walking in the opposite direction, and then the two people collided. “Hey, you got chocolate in my peanut butter,” one said. The other person replied, “Hey, you got peanut butter in my chocolate!” And with this a simple ad campaign bore a perfect description of the melding of two components that were good alone, but together, perfection. Horror and Comedy. Like Hershey and Reese’s. Delicious together. Enjoy
