It's one of the most unusual episodes of 'Severance' so far. And we're about to finish digging into every nook and cranny!! Welcome back to the 'Severed' Deep Dive into 'Chikhai Bardo.'

This time we're going to get into some of those ROOMS. What the heck has Mark S. been working on? Oh, a room that's nothing but air turbulence. There's another one that's nothing but 'thank you card' writing. Huh? It seems Dan Erickson was using the Testing Floor to work out some personal demons. We avoided the Flossing Room!

Thanks to the hard work of Volunteer Researcher Vinny P (who is bucking for a promotion to Volunteer Producer) we were able to talk to 'Severance' Property Master Catherine "Cat" Miller. Catherine and her crew are responsible for everything a performer picks up, sits on, walks around...if it's 'stuff', it's a prop! 

She has some fascinating stories about the stuff we see every episode on 'Severance.' This is PART ONE of our extensive two-part interview. Part Two will run next Thursday (8/14). We'll be back to the "Chikhai Bardo" breakdown on 8/21.

ARE YOU READY, REFINER? IT DOESN'T GET MUCH COOLER THAN THIS...
The episode "Chikhai Bardo" blew a lot of people away when it premiered as the 7th episode of the second season. A brand new leader was in the Director's Chair but she was a familiar face to both cast and crew. This is Cinematographer Jessica Lee Gagne's first foray into directing. Based on the incredible success of this episode, she'll probably never be a cinematographer again. 

We're going back in time with a blushing Mark and Gemma. We'll see how they met and fell in love. We'll ALSO venture down to the 'Testing Floor' where a very alive Gemma is being subjected to bizarre tortures by Robby Benson and Sandra Bernhard. Mark is passed out on his couch and Reghabi and Devon are about to come to blows over his body.

It's a wild one, Refiner...and this is just PART ONE. Strap in and fire up that workstation. It's time to discover the wonder that is 'Chikhai Bardo.'

WELCOME BACK FOR PART TWO OF "ATILLA"!!
Comb your hair and put on your best shirt, Refiner! We're headed to dinner! Would you rather have a cozy little gathering at a friend's house, or maybe a meet up at a well-known local Chinese place? Either way, this week we've got you covered on 'Severed'!

Outie-Irv has accepted an invite for an evening of Ham and Wine at Outie-Burt's place. This will be the first time Irving has met Burt's significant other: Fields. It's also our first chance to meet the elusive Fields. He has some interesting information to impart, if he doesn't pass out first! We also get a chance to tour the incredible home of Burt and Fields. In reality, it's the Gerald Luss house in Ossinging, NY. We will get WAY into it!!

Over at "Zufu", a favorite joint in Kier for Chinese, outie-Mark Scout is trying to curb his reintegration appetitte. As he's feeding his face, Helena Eagan walks in. She has a seat at a booth...all alone. Helena may have had plans other than dinner when she followed Mark Scout into this place. She's quite the aggressive one!! Helena does her best to seduce a confused Mark Scout, but it doesn't work.

The meeting at the restaurant prompts Mark to take some serious action regarding his chip. Reghabit 'floods the chip' and Mark can't handle it. We leave him passed out in his livingroom with Devon and Reghabi trying to rouse him. It does not look good.

You're okay with Cumin, right?? Good. It's time to hit 'play' on Atilla Part TWO.

This time we're getting into the first half of the sixth episode of Season 2 of 'Severance.' This one is called "Atilla."

Not gonna lie to you, there's a lot of smooching in this one, Refiner. Innie-Dylan and Gretchen are are all over each other down in the Outie Family Visitation Suite. Mark and innie-Helly R. have taken over an unused work area and turned it into their own 'post-ORTBO' love den.

With all of the lovey-dovey happening all over the place not a lot is getting done in MDR. In the management office Seth Milchick is flogging himself over his disastrous Performance Review. Okay, so he's not LITERALLY flogging himself...but he does create a bizarre penance involving a thousand paper clips.

We've also got more Reghabi, more reintegration and...a post-nookie nosebleed?

Get out your blood pressure cuff, Refiner. It's time to open the file called "Atilla" (PT1).

We've got a funeral to get to for one thing. Irv's funeral, where we are going to meet the "Irv-head" melon. Dylan will be delivering the Eulogy. Ms. Huang is scheduled to provide accompaniment on Theremin.

After the funeral we need to rush off to Seth's first monthly performance review as the Head of the Severed Floor.

We're also going to check in on Ricken and his re-write of "The You You Are" for innies. Devon isn't thrilled but Ricken is seeing $$ and that's all that matters to him.
