Let’s talk Nikki St. John.

About a year ago, Nikki launched an unsuccessful Kickstarter campaign to raise money to print hard copies of her book and to promote it on a large scale. After failing miserably, she decided to try it again – from a different angle.

That’s when she began posting pictures of her favorite pole tricks on Instagram. It was a desperate attempt to gain some publicity for her book. She never dreamed it would turn into a community of avid pole addicts who actually wanted to be featured on her page. She never thought pole icons like Anastasia Skukhtorova, Jamila Deville or Sarah Scott Pole would be part of her pole community. She didn’t think she could actually make an impact on the world of pole dance.

But sometimes the plans God has for us are bigger than what we could have ever imagined.

Pole Dance Nation has become more than just a book series. It’s an active, vibrant community of aerial artists who want to grow, be challenged and recognized for their achievements. We are excited to be part of the pole movement want to continue to push pole dance to its’ limits.
