The Pioneers and Crusaders battle to an epic 5-set match before Pierz falls just short by scores of 23-25, 25-23, 20-25, 25-22, 12-15.  

The Pioneers improve to 7-0 with a 51-7 win at home against the Dutchmen.  Played in winter-like conditions, the Pioneers didn't let the poor weather conditions slow them down too much, getting 3 long rushing touchdowns and a 49 yard punt return for a score from Matthias Algarin and touchdown runs from Carter Moulzolf, Blake Kowalczyk  and Ross Boser.

It's time to get to know another outstanding member of the Pierz Class of 2020 as Rick Grammond visits with Kami Athman, discussing her Tennis and Golf careers, her time in the Band, as well as her future plans which include joining the U.S. military!

The Pioneers won a wild 5-set match at Kimball on Tuesday where they rallied for a 3-2 win by scores of 12-25, 25-22 (after trailing 12-3!), 25-14, 20-25, 15-10.

The Pioneers and Silverstreaks go the distance, as Osakis defeats Pierz 3-2 on the Pioneers Senior Night.   Set scores were 23-25, 25-18, 18-25, 25-16, 4-15.

The Pioneers scored early and often during their Homecoming game against the Lakers, scoring 10 touchdowns, 9 of them on the ground, in a 69-0 victory.  

The Pioneers swept Mora 3-0 on the Mustangs home court by scores of 25-23, 25-21 and 25-20. Freshman Ashley Kimman played her best match, dominating at the net defensively with 10 blocks!

The Pioneers beat the Eagles 27-6 to improve to 5-0,led by 100+ yard rushing games from Matthias Algarin and Blake Kowalczyk. Preston Veith caught 3 passes totally 62 yards to lead the receiving corps for Pierz.

The Pioneers beat the Thunder 3-1 to capture their first ever Granite Ridge Conference victory by scores of 25-22, 25-18, 17-25, 25-18! Jayden Smieja has 11 kills and 17 digs, Kiara Olesch dishes out 30 assists and Courtney Strohmeier has 3 ace serves, 8 kills and 3 blocks to lead Pierz to the win.

This week, the Senior Spotlight shines on Bradyn Maine, another outstanding member of the Class of 2020 at Pierz High School.  I hope you enjoy getting to know this fine young man as much as I did when we sat down to visit recently.
