The Pioneers lose 3-1 to the Huskers by scores of 23-25, 21-25, 26-24, 15-25.  Jayden Smieja nails 14 kills and has 21 digs while Kiara Olesch dished out 28 assists for Pierz.

The Pioneers rush for 6 touchdowns and Peter Schommer found Alex Barclay for a touchdown through the air as Pierz defeated the Huskers 47-0 to improve their record to 4-0.

The Pioneers fall 3-0 at Little Falls in Granite Ridge Conference action by scores of 25-11, 25-17, 25-22.

In this edition of the You Are There Sports Senior Spotlight, we get a chance to get to know Emily Burggraff.  Emily discusses her role with the Pioneers Boys Basketball team, being a member of the Softball team and her plans to one day become a Physical Education teacher! Emily is another great example of the awesome Senior Class of 2020 at Pierz High School!

The Pioneers play one of their better matches of the season, but the Crusaders still prevail in 3 tough games by scores of 26-24, 25-21, 25-18.  Jayden Smieja had 13 kills and 18 digs in a very solid all-around effort.

The #1 ranked Pioneers blanked the Rockets 40-0 to improve to 3-0 as Matthias Algarin ran for 3 scores and caught a Peter Schommer pass for another. The Pierz defense posted their second shutout in 3 weeks and held the Rockets offense to under 100 total yards for the game.

The Pioneers dropped a 3-set match to the visiting Albany Huskies by scores of 25-12, 25-18, 25-22 in the first-ever Granite Ridge Conference meeting between the two schools.

The Pioneers edge the Bulldogs 32-28 in a great battle between two highly ranked teams. Matthias Algarin ran for a score and caught a Peter Schommer pass for another and Blake Kowalczyk pounded his way for 126 yards and a touchdown on the ground for Pierz.  Isaac Otte led the Pioneers defense with 16 tackles.

The Pioneers drop a 3-set match against the Wolves by scores of 25-23, 25-18, 25-20 to fall to 0-2 in their new Granite Ridge Conference.
