The holidays are just around the corner, and for some, it unfortunately brings in anxiety instead of excitement. LGBTQ Activist and Registered Nurse, Miss J gets us ready for those awkward holiday dinners with family. In this episode, she eloquently educates us on the importance of bringing one simple question into your normal conversations: “What are your pronouns?” An inspiration to all, she shares her story on how she’s making waves and boldly using her platform to further educate, protect, and humanize those who may identify as non-binary, and how you can do the same.

A civilian, a military wife, and a military service member come together to shoot the shit. Special guest and Navy Corpsman, Aileen Coloma, answers questions that Lanie and Terri have in regards to her experience being a female in a male dominant world. The discussion ranges from dealing with mansplaining to how a Navy ship nearly ran out of feminine products for their female service members. James Brown may say, “It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World,” but in this episode, it’s proven fact that the military “wouldn't be nothing, nothing without a woman or a girl.”

You’re in for a blend of emotions. Our special guests, Alexis and Flo, join us as they give us the inside scoop on their dark and interesting time serving as nuns in a convent. It’s our most interesting episode, filled with shock, revelations, healing, laughter in times of tragedy, and their personal journeys through escaping a religious life that only brought them darkness. October is the new June. And by that we mean, October is the newest popular month for tying the knot. With it being Filipino American History Month, we thought it would be a perfect time to discuss Modern Filipino American Weddings and all the elaborate moving parts that come with it. Lanie and Terri finish a whole bottle of wine as they reminisce about their own unique approaches to their wedding days, share historical facts to some of the traditions, chismis about a camera-happy auntie, and poke fun at some of the superstitions that might’ve given one of them bad luck in their marriage. If you’re currently planning your wedding, this one will make you cackle your way through all that wedding stress!

We’re hitting the double digits with a very heavy topic for Episode 10 and discussing how to deal with your triggers when your triggers are your immediate family. Our special guest, Karen Castro, joins us as she walks us through how she personally deals with her triggers, and how identifying these triggers can become very empowering. She educates us on group therapy, one-on-one therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy. This is our most revealing episode, with round table talks about our own triggers, big and small, past traumas such as physical and sexual abuse, and how the practice of daily affirmations can be healing for everyone.

Sometimes networking could have a bad reputation for a gathering of people with ulterior motives. Trust us, we feel ya! But in this episode, Your Two Favorite Coworkers debunk those myths by keeping it real as they walk you through how they personally go about the intimidating task of networking, because it’s actually not as intimidating as you may think. Lanie and Terri also discuss the transition from social media to in-person networking, and how the new-age of “finding your tribe” is just like online dating.

Being dubbed the Flavor of the Summer, it’s safe to say that the rise of Ube is here! But before you take another bite into that Ube dessert, Terri and Lanie bring in Junemy Pantig of @gastronemy to give you the scoop on how deeply rooted this trendy flavor is with the Philippines. This episode is a round-table discussion on our thoughts of this nostalgic flavor going mainstream, with an eye-opening conversation of the difference between Ube and Taro, and in true Shameless Dialogues fashion, the trio also play a game where they discuss in great detail some of our favorite filipino dishes...or not.

Solo-preneur...but not really. This episode is all about the Unsung Heroes to your work-from-home-hustle. When you run a business at home, you’re more than likely sharing that home with a roommate, a family member, and for most entrepreneurs, it’s their spouse, aka “Startup Spouses.” This is the complete opposite of a “trophy wife,” in the sense that they naturally become your clutch to all things business, assisting you in areas where you fall short, and helping you juggle it all. Lanie and Terri interview their husbands, Allen and Jan, to gain perspective on what it’s like to be in their shoes. Things get crazy during the segment, “Chismimosas,” as they share some hilarious moments being in their shoes. Let the games begin!

Lanie allows herself to become vulnerable as she discusses how she’s coping with the big change in her life. On April 22nd, 2019 Alejandro Constantino, Lanie’s Dad, unfortunately passed away. His untimely death occurred in the midst of Shameless Dialogues launching, and in this episode she walks us through the events that led her to seek grief counseling. We talk about the stigma of therapy in minorities, and highlight the insensitive remarks that are made in regards to seeking mental health treatment, in the segment we call, “OK OA.” This one is just a little bit of LOLs, but a topic we’d like to normalize in everyday conversation.
