Shapes & Sounds

On this week's episode I sat down with independent jewelry designer, Aimee Rivka. She's a small business owner, a lover of the outdoors, and an absolute gem of a human being (which is appropriate since she works with all-natural gemstones). She also happens to be my partner and I truly could not be more grateful to have her in my life.

For this week's episode, I sat down with a close friend of mine: Dan Dunn of DTM Photography. Dan has lived at least 3 lifetimes in the time it has taken me to live one and he has the stories to prove it.

After interviewing my brother for last week's episode, I decided it would be fun to keep things in the family. For today's show, I sat down with my wonderful sister-in-law, Ricci Wolfe.

Ricci is a remarkable visual artist as well as an aspiring teacher. While her specialty is quickly becoming minimal yet striking illustrations, her art style has a broad scope and is constantly evolving. I resonated with a lot of the things she said and I think you will too.

Today is my birthday and this episode is my gift to you. I know, I shouldn't have. I did though, so you're welcome.

This week's guest is incredibly special to me: Synecdoche aka Daniel Wolfe is not only a talented musician, he's also my little brother, one of my closest friends, and a massive source of inspiration for me. Our conversation got very conceptual in a few places and I think his insights on the creative process and what it means to be an artist will resonate with anyone who identifies as a creator.

For this week's episode, I sat down with Donald Rosenhamer aka Don Ross, a longtime local of the Tahoe basin.  Don attempts to infuse creativity into as many aspects of his life as possible: he paints, he DJs, he skates, and much more.

He has a unique perspective on what it means to be an artist and I'm excited to share our conversation with you. It was awesome. Don's awesome. You're awesome. I say awesome a lot. GET USED TO IT.

Shapes & Sounds officially begins here! Aren't you excited? You're excited. I can tell.

I'm joined by my good friend Travis aka LabRat for this inaugural episode. We chat about music (duh), current events (i.e. GameStonk), and staying inspired to create while avoiding the trap of pigeonholing yourself. He's an incredible musician and I'm beyond grateful to have him on the show.
