Black womxn and femmes have always been incredible storytellers, though most of us have gone through the bulk of our educational years without ever hearing one of their names. How many times were you handed a book with a white author's name on it? And how many times were you taught that male voices made the best storytellers? The world became a different place for us when we grew up and discovered there were books written by womxn that looked like us. For Black History Month we want to celebrate these womxn!

uWe can all agree that 2020 was A MESS! but it was also a transformational year for inner healing and community building. Though many souls expanded and Black people were finally being heard in mainstream media 2020 also brought to light just how deep societal racism is and how lazy white "activists'' really are.
Remember the sea of black squares we all saw in June? and the mass number of companies who were suddenly using words like "diversity" in their marketing, and anti-racist book sales were through the roof!? What's next? how can you do the REAL work and show true solidarity in 2021? listen and find out.

Let's chat about hair! Whether you're at war or living Nappily Ever After (a great movie BTW) with your hair, know that we hold space for you. Hair is a place of contention for many BIPOC womxn, we're taught to be ashamed of our hair while we watch white womxn try to mimic it. We get teased, miss out on job opportunities, and feel forced to follow strict routines with our hair just to be "acceptable". Where are you in your hair journey? let us know if this conversation resonates with you.
